A cholecystectomy is a surgical procedure to remove your gallbladder ( Mayo Clinic staff, 2017). The most common reason people get their gallbladders removed is because of gallstones. The pain you get from having gallstones is very unreal. You would know if you have gallstones. I believe this because when you eat certain foods you get this really bad pain. Which last up to thirty minutes or more. On April 13th is when Dr. Woodruff from Colorado told my parents I have gallstones.
We didn’t know I had gallstones in my gallbladder for a long time. I was having pain in my stomach and chest for a year. The doctors in Scott didn’t know why. They told us multiple times I was just thinking I was hurting or that something was wrong. I kept going back to Scott multiple times for the same reasons. They said that I was fine and nothing is wrong. The doctors would just prescribe acid medicine for my

Like salads I’m not allowed to eat because my stomach wouldn’t digest the lettuce. Some foods I eat make my stomach hurt really bad. I’m not suppose to eat fried food anymore but I do occasionally. I still can’t have soda pop, because I have acid reflux. This makes my chest feel like someone is stabbing it.
When I got home from surgery my friends were very eager to come see me. Alexis Mendenhall brought me ice cream and beautiful picture. She has been so close to me and helping me with my situations. I am very lucky to have her as my friend. She would get my heating pad off the floor for me, so I didn’t have to move. Then would just let me call whenever I needed anything.
Since being I had surgery I have certain medications I have to take. This will help with the pain I have in my stomach when eating. I take tums, mylanta and my heart medication. Having these medicines help make sure I won’t be in pain when I eat. I hate taking medicine but if it comes to not hurting anymore I’d be okay with

The first laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) using keyhole approach was done by Professor Mouret of Lyon, France in 1987, when he was completing a gynecologic laparoscopy on a woman also suffering from symptomatic gall stones, he removed it laparoscopically instead of opening up. Dr. Eddie Reddick reported 100 cases of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in 1989. The classical four port technique of LC as described by Reddick became the most widely adopted technique.
was no longer alone. She had friends to love her and guide her to the next
A laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a minimally evasive procedure to remove the gallbladder or gallstones. The patient will be put under general anesthesia then the abdomen will be inflated with air. The gallbladder is then removed through a small incision near the umbilicus. There are fewer complications when using a laparoscopic approach, but it is not without its draw backs. Nurses and doctors must work together to treat the postoperative complications of this surgery.
In this article, you are informed about a disease that is occurring more often in our society. It is commonly referred to as “heartburn” but is more appropriately named acid reflux disease or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Most people suffer from this disease, but think nothing of it. Perhaps they have felt it after a big meal, lying down after eating, during pregnancy, or even when bending over. Most people feel that GERD occurs after eating spicy foods, when in fact the major cause of GERD is fatty foods and the quantity of foods eaten.
Ulcerative colitis is a fairly common disease with significant symptoms that affect the patient quality of life. With appropriate treatment it can be managed successfully. Surgery is curative.
A procedure called “Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy” is done and this means that the gallbladder is removed. During this procedure, the patient is put under general anesthesia so that they are asleep. A few incisions are made in the abdomen, including the belly button. The surgeon uses a narrow tube called a cannula to enter through the belly button and a tiny telescope called a laparoscope connected a camera is inserted through the cannula so that the surgeon can see the organs better. Then other cannulas are inserted to help the surgeon separate the gallbladder and then it is removed through one of the
I preferred homemade most of the time. In the past 3 or 4 years, I tried a lot of different foods and like to stick with veggie food with chicken. I can’t eat pork and beef because every time I think about trying it makes me sick. No offense but everyone is different. I discussed it at home and my mother told me that I was very sensitive as compared to my brother. My immune system is not that strong and this is the reason I am very skinny because I don’t try new food. I get scared with the feeling of no liking

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic digestive disease that happens when stomach acid, or even bile back flows (refluxes) into the food pipe, which is called the esophagus. The flow back of acid irritates the lining of the esophagus and results in signs and symptoms of GERD (Mayo Clinic, 2014).
In the larger picture, weight loss surgeries have become “the fast food” response to weight loss demands by the public. In my opinion, many patients are using weight loss surgeries as the weight loss mean rather than their own self-control and self-discipline; instead of for use by those who couldn’t lose weight by any other way. Unfortunately, not all the participants need the weight loss surgeries, and not all receive a long lasting benefit from the surgeries. As obesity spikes nationwide, so does the use (and potential abuse by overuse) of surgical procedures for weight loss.
Even though, everyday, I was a victim of agonizing pain, I loved every minute I was there. My physical therapist was always so considerate and always knew what to say when I wanted to give up. He pushed me past my limits everyday and was always there to motivate me. With the constant encouragement I received and all the hard work I went through, I was able to recover one month ahead of schedule. I wouldn’t have accomplished it without my physical therapist.
After she went to the doctors’ she brought us news that her cancer has grown slightly and the surgery will be had when she reaches twenty-two weeks in her pregnancy. The following day I was in choir class, I held back tears all day, but when I walked into Mrs. Chapman’s room I couldn’t hold back anymore. I started crying, so Mrs. Chapman called me into her office and gave me a very comforting hug. We started discussing how she understood what I was going through and how her mother had breast cancer. She explained to me how she was one of the main people who helped her mother while she was sick.
Anna and I spent many evenings doing her homework together for the two English classes she decided to take. One of her first writing assignments was to write a two page paper on who her hero was. She asked me to read her paper to make sure that there were no grammatical or punctuation errors and as I was reading her paper tear welled up in my eyes. She wrote that her hero was me. How my unselfishness to have a complete stranger stay in my home and to allow this stranger to have the same luxuries and experiences that I get in my everyday life was something she had never experienced before. She was grateful that I had "chose" her as a student to stay in my home and that she was very blessed to have someone who cared so much.
