There are more then 3 million cases of anxiety in the United States per year. I am on of those cases. I struggle with anxiety each and every single day. It’s not as awful as it use to be but it can easily be triggered. Numerous individuals don’t understand how it is to have anxiety, but I would like to share what it is like to live with it on a daily basis. To comprehend it one must first thoroughly understand it, then recognize what it is like through somebody’s eyes, and also how people get help to cope with it. Anxiety is a mental disorder described by sentiments of worry or fear that are sufficiently strong enough to interfere with ones daily activities. Stress, worry, and inability to let the worry go are symptoms of anxiety. People can become fatigue, restless, and it can cause excess sweating. People can go to doctors and get recommended antidepressants to help. The doctor may suggest exercise, a healthy diet, or counseling before taking meds. Zoloft is an example of a medication they might endorse. It can take up to two weeks to six months depending on the person. Alcohol should be avoided if on any medication for this disorder, because the disorder could be worsened. Counseling is another form to help cope with it. I used to go to a counselor for it but now with work and school I find it hard to attend. There are also support groups people can go to. They discuss people’s fears, what it is like for them, and steps they can take to help get through the day. Simply discussing it can truly help. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is another technique psychologists may use. It teaches people to manage their fears by figuring out the main cause of their disorder. I would personally suggest counseling though because it’s nice to have someone to talk to that
