My individual activity space was rather quite boring during this summer. Juggling 2 classes and a full time job is what this summer has been about for me with an occasional going out. My territoriality is LaPorte, my home sweet home. The activity space I roamed about from the week of 07/13 – 07/19 included surrounding Fort Collins area and the surrounding Loveland area. The activities included in the data table are rather same with a few minor changes in the flow of my travels to various places like restaurants and concert venues. Most of my space-time prism is under an hour, while few are over one, not more than two. My spatial interaction for this week was rather weak, and did not contribute much to the flow of products, services, and information to the supply and demand of the city of Fort Collins. Day 1 of my week started with spending couple of hours at my significant others’ place. Her place is the closest to my territoriality; therefore traveling there didn’t cost me much time or …show more content…
My activity space was rather light this day. No gas was wasted, as its only 3 minute walk to the gym. There another 45 minute was utilized in the weight room to properly train parts of my body. The critical distance of the gym is what gives me motivation to work out 4-5 times a week. Day 6 was rather busy and full of adventures. As far as the cost of my day goes, it was $0 for that day because the tickets to the concert and alterations were paid in previous day and week. Short commute of 22 minutes occurred between home and alterations. An additional 3 minutes is added to travel to my SO’s house. From there I helped her pack for a couple of hours and move additional stuff to her new house, my movement distance totaling to 26 minutes and $2.152 for gas usage. After the move, 1 hour and 23 min was utilized in travel from my SO to the concert venue. And $6.64 for gas and an estimated $50 for drink at the
Henrietta Hamster lives in Brooklyn, NY, and works in Manhattan. Normally, Henrietta takes the subway into work ($2.25 each way), but once a week she commutes home in a unique way. For some time, Henrietta has been seeing a psychologist for counseling (for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) but was often late for or missed her appointments. She recently switched psychologists. A van, equipped with a carpeted office and easy chairs, picks her up from work every Thursday at 5pm. The van conveys her home while she has a counseling session with her new psychologist in the back during the hour-long commute. She pays a flat fee of $200 for each appointment, including transportation. If the van gets stuck in traffic, she gets a longer counseling session. Is all/any of her $200 weekly expense deductible?
Keep it simple. Limited time away tempts you to jam pack every day with as many activities as possible because no
There are many definitions to theory. According to Akers (2009) “theories are tentative answers to the commonly asked questions about events and behavior” (Akers, (2009, p. 1). Theory is a set of interconnect statements that explain how two or more things are related in two casual fashions, based upon a confirmed hypotheses and established multiple times by disconnected groups of researchers.
Texas State University, San Marcos has a notorious reputation as being a party school. The growth of the University has seen increases in the student population in San Marcos, Texas with many students living in off-campus rented accommodation. The increase in the student population has significantly changed the dynamics of the Sagewood neighbourhood with fifty-two, three bedroom duplexes being rented by university students. The Sagewood neighbourhood now consists of single family residences with a high rate of homeownership and duplexes rented by students. Differences in age and lifestyle between the resident home owners and student renters has contributed to increased complaints of noise in the area, mostly from late night
In my compare and contrast essay I chose to do it on Routine Activities Theory and Social Learning Theory. I will start by briefly summarizing in my own words what each theory means. Routine activities theory founded by Lawrence Cohen and Marcus Felson and is a “recurrent and prevalent activities which provide for basic population of individual needs” pg 122. It is defined as a victimization theory that states that there are certain lifestyles that expose people to high risk for victimization and to me this means basically day to day activities and their effects on people. Routine activities theory looks at crime from the point s of view of both the offender and crime prevention.
Activity Theory, as described by Russel and Yanez throughout their essay entitled, ‘Big Picture People Rarely Become Historians’ is the combination of influences impacting classroom dynamics across the country. Russel and Yanez’s activity theory emphasizes textual pathways between parts of an activity system, alienation between professionals and non-professionals, and historical contradictions.
However, afterward, people became accustomed to picking things up, meeting people, or getting on trains at certain times. As distance became less important, time became more important. It is this concept of time that has carried over to the present day. We are oriented around times and dates, from airline departures and arrivals to work schedules to social events. We no longer view the world as a big place that takes a long time to get from one place to another, but rather what time we will be there.

The issue of the benefits organized activities is a very hot-botton topic. The second editorial argues that organized activities are developing a healty attitudes, social skills, and strong sense of identity and pride. The first editorial, however, says that organized activities destrory children's creativity and give them more works to do. I agree with with the second editorial, because the second author uses logical statistics and examples while the first editorial doesn't backed by logical evidences.

Children should engage organized activities. Not all children are the same, but children is children. In most cases when children have to much free time on there hands, they tend to engage in inappropriate behavier. They're not really thinking on the consequences of there actions because they just consider it having fun. If they're not looking forward to some type of activity they're bound to make up there own, so having activties like sports, clubs, or dance lessons could give them the activity there looking forward to on the daily.
Organized activities is what people should look forward to, with this kids can express what they want but with restrictions. However kids would become more social and intelligible by any other activities there is. Organized activities also teaches kids responsiblities, discipline, and gets the kids ready for learning. Sports is an organized activity for the kids, teenagers, and even adults. Clubs also is an organized activity for people that likes a certain activity for example people like to play chess, checkers, and there is 4-H club.
It is safe to say almost every person will be affected by Depression during their lifetime one way or another, either having to go through this demoralizing disorder themselves or witnessing family and friends struggle to cope with it. Every human being is prone to depression, leaving individuals and those close to them in states of sorrow and helplessness. Depression not only affects the mind but targets the whole body, draining individuals of their energy and immobilizing them from doing normal day to day activities, especially those which are known to be essential for overall wellbeing such as Leisure activities (Pressman et al., 2009). Leisure participation encompasses a very broad spectrum of activities and past times unique for

For the fitness log I did not put all the time I did yoga and stretched, just times I thought were significant or remembered to. I am trying to relax more before bed each night, because I have bad insomnia. I also would like to be as flexible as I was when I was in cheerleading. However, I focused more so on increasing the amount of steps I was getting per week. I am taking all online classes this semester and working from home so sometimes I forget how little steps I am now getting. Thanks in part to this assignment and also because of Pokemon Go I have really paid
