How To Avoid Writing An Inconsistently Weighted Essay
An inconsistently weighted essay is one that gives too much focus and too much word count to one issue when the essay is supposed to deal with an issue from various angles. It involves putting too much into one area so that the other areas have to be lighter in order to fit the word count. That is what an inconsistently weighted essay is, and here is how you avoid making the same mistake.
Set Up An Evenly Weighted Plan
If you have a loose or poorly formed plan, then you are going to create an unevenly weighted essay. On your plan, you need to focus on all of the points you are going to make. They need to be the feature of your essay plan.

It may be a better idea to set up a time budget. You budget how long you are going to spend on each point your essay makes so that you are sure you are dedicating a similar amount of effort to each point and are therefore not concentrating on one point too much.
Forget Trying To Burn Through Word Count
There are plenty of times when a student thinks he or she has finished his or her essay, only to find out that the word count is too short. In these situations, a student may expand one element of his or her essay, and may even add a bit of fluff to make it artificially longer.
Add words to any section, and you run the risk of making that part of your essay too heavy and too large. If you find yourself stuck in this position, then try to add a new point that supports your hypothesis and gives your essay a little more depth. If you cannot do this, then go over your other sections and see if there are more ideas, examples and citations you can add. Look especially hard for ways you can produce more evidence for the ideas and facts you placed in your essay.

When writing a five paragraph essay, there are five steps one must fallow in order to attain perfection, these steps include understanding the question, brainstorming, writing a rough copy, revising, and creating a final draft. The first and most important step is understanding the topic. The topic of the essay is what the essay will be about and if this is misunderstood, the whole essay will be off course. The second step, brainstorming, will help organize thoughts and ideas so they flow amiably. There are many different ways to brainstorm, some of the most helpful are making a web of ideas, making a list of ideas, or creating a Venn diagram to compare and contrast the conviction. All these ideas will be related to the topic at hand. For example, if the essays topic is about how the earth is affected by global warming, then the brainstorming ideas might include the ozone lair being reduced or how global climate has raised. The strengths in my writing are my organizational skills, grammatical construct, and my work ethic. Organizing an essay is a very natural process for me. On this essay the main difficult I had was failure to discuss one topic statement in one paragraph. On each paragraphs there were a mix up idea that it was difficult for a reader to fully understand the main message on each paragraph. The other difficulty I had was using a proper punctuation. The question was to write a 4 page in which you discuss the impact a on-literacy text has on your reading of “The Lottery,” “Sonny’s Blues,” OR “Hills Like White Elephants.” I chose the story “Sonny’s Blues” because I Understood this story better than others. First of all, since I did not get good grades, I thought I should put more effort on these papers in order to do better in this course. So, I tried to use some higher level words so that my paper may look like a higher writer’s paper. The first thing I would look at is the structure of your essay. The paper feels like it jumps around a lot. There are several places where I think you could split a single paragraph into several, and add more information to both paragraphs. The first time I noticed this was on your first page in your second paragraph. I think it would be much stronger if you ended the second paragraph after you say “made it okay for women to be a part of that industry”. I think the second part about Lydia Thompson stands on its own, especially because it introduces a new topic with burlesque coming to America. I would spilt this paragraph again after “made for a wild spectacle”, because you go into talking about how theatre was predominantly male, and this feels like a whole new topic.
– I am nothing less than prepared and committed to dedicating the time and energy to studying/practicing for long hours and working extremely hard. Papers that I have written in the past have been critiqued many times for losing its focus in the multitude of information that I try and fit into a paper. When I would write papers before teachers would always leave a comment that I would write like I talk, which would lead to the problem that I exercised in the previous sentence. While this was also a problem in the way I would tie the information in this was also a problem in how I would structure my paragraphs and intergrate my quotes. Many times before I would drag on the paper when I need to intergrate a quote or when I needed to breakup the essay with another paragraph, and vice versa when I would force a quotation integration and new paragraph. I learned new ways olf intergrating quotes such as the indirect quote, which I used barely before I came to this class.What I noticed in my papers this semester is that this part of my writing has improved a lot : I was able to intergrate my quotes in my paper organically and with ease. In the past it felt like I was doing some of these methods, because it seemed like the thing my teachers wanted rather than it helping my paper.
