Personality psychologist has coined five different traits into the Big Five. It consists of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. Extraverts are people who are relatively sociable and outgoing while on the opposite end individuals who are introverts are people who would much rather enjoy the company of close friends and family. Up until Last Tuesday, I did not know what a personality type was, and thought that the Myers-Briggs test only covered IQ. Fortunately for me, Last Tuesday, September 25th, happened. From there, I learned of 16 personality types, consisting of various combinations of letters forming a group. There are two options per “slot”, limiting the amount of combinations in terms of mathematics. But, that’s a good thing, or else the world would be a chaotic place with there being twice as much, or even more personality types. The two approaches are similar in what they would take into account. It is difficult to draw a clear line just on the theoretical approach. Distinction came from research procedures because it clearly demonstrates the disagreement on the origin for both intelligence and personality. It is as David said 'what we wish to know' is causing differences in what is produce in targeted experiments, it is therefore clearer to see when you look at experiments from two different approach.
Leadership has been studied and defined since the beginning of times. Throughout history, the leadership theory was characterized by the idea of leaders being great men who were brave and sources of authority and Justice (Marsiglia). However, leadership theories have changed over time and new ones have been developed. Similarly, in today’s time, a leader’s leadership style is defined as the way a leader approaches action towards followers to accomplish a mission. Despite the fact that leadership styles are vital, it is concluded that the essence of leadership is actually an individual’s personality and what provides the motivation, purpose, and direction to lead efficiently towards accomplishments. Personality types are known to be important in leadership because they help a leader develop followers accordingly, make valuable and timely decisions, and have a different perspective to accomplish a job. The difference between average and outstanding employees can often be solely personality related. Intelligence by definition is “the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills” (Oxford Dictionary, 2014). However, many psychologists argue that there is no standard definition of ‘intelligence’, and there have been many different theories over time as psychologists try to find better ways to define this concept (Boundless 2013). While some believe in a single, general intelligence, others believe that intelligence involves multiple abilities and skills. Another largely debated concept is whether intelligence is genetically determined and fixed, or whether is it open to change, through learning and environmental influence. Type A Personality or Type A Behavior Pattern (TABP) include typical responses of competitiveness, time urgency, and hostility. Type A’s normally strive towards a goal without feeling a sense of joy in their efforts or accomplishments. They also seem to be in a constant struggle against the clock and become impatient with any delays and unproductive time. Type A’s also tend to see the worse in others and display anger, envy and lack of compassion (McLeod, 2017).
Traits and personality are things that people are born with. Many scientist have shown an interest in what the real factors are that creates a person’s individual personality traits. Human personality has been in constant debate on what influences it the most, nature or nurture. This debate can date back to the Aristotle and Plato time and continues with support for both sides today. Human beings can be genetically lined to fear the unknown and laugh out loud, or be bald, but they are capable of learning to hate reading, love tea, and tell lies as opposed to the truth.

In our life, we have to make decisions every day. The decision-making process is influenced by our logical thinking as well as our personality.
Personality tests tell a person a lot about why a person is who they have become. I believe that these test if taken truthfully can identify deficiencies that individuals can work on to benefit not only themselves but others in the organizations that they work in. Some models state that it is in human nature and chemicals that decided how a person acts but I believe it is based on life experiences and a personality can change as long as a person knows the deficiencies and works to change them.
Derek, I too have worked in the financial industry for some time. My field took me into the brokerage field helping individuals understand the market or to help plan for their retirement. In this field, not only were we required to learn all the CPA and brokerage laws, but we were also required to learn all the banking laws that went in place with it. I absolutely agree that in this environment everything that leads to job dissatisfaction is obvious and ever growing. Even in my most recent position right now, we are heavily regulated and forced to do things that sometimes we aren’t even as comfortable doing all in the name of making money, but it culminates into this peaked pile of “low pay, increased worked loads, lack of promotions, and excessive stress on the job.” (Robbins, 2013)
In the day to day life, experiences and connections are made. Many things that occur in one’s life can all stem from their individual personality, but interpreting how one’s personality guides their life presents a difficult challenge. Many actions, quirks, and patterns that a person has are easily noted due to the ability to see it, but the puppeteer behind these habits is an individual’s personality. A certain personality type can affect the perception of certain events and the reactions/feelings to certain outcomes. While one person might see a situation as dreadful, another may see it entirely different. We tend to find ourselves side by side with people we see similarities between due to a parallel in certain traits, but no two individuals are exactly the same based on differences in personality. Success is hinged on many things and one of those things is the development of self-awareness.
