Every language is unique in different ways. In English language there are words that spell the same, pronounce the same but have different meanings. One word that I come across almost everyday is the word “date”. The word date has an everyday impact on me as well as cultural impact on me. I believe the most valuable and scarce resource we know of is time. The way we measure time is by dates. We watch them as they go and count them as they get near which makes them as equally valuable as time.

According to The Merriam Webster Dictionary, the word date refers to the day, month or year at which an event occurs, specified by a number. An example will be, my date of birth is June 25, 1999. Another meaning for date is a social outing between two people. An example is, Joe and Jasmine went out for coffee. The word for "the time of an event" comes from Latin. We all come across writing some type of dates on a regular basis. The date that refers to “social outgoing” I come across those probably in a restaurant or I hear about it from friends.
