What It Takes to be a Socially Responsible Member of Society There are many factors that lead to being a socially responsible member of American society. The main characteristics of these men and women are economical responsibility; being profitable and doing what is required by global capitalism, legal responsibility; obeying the law and doing what is required by global stakeholders, ethical responsibility; being ethical and doing what is expected by global stakeholders, and philanthropic responsibility; being a good global corporate citizen and doing what is desired by global stakeholders.
Being able to both focus on yourself and on others is a key which may come in handy for many people in their day to day lives. Some may say that a person who is responsible can, and will, care for others along with themselves and that is partially correct. People who focus on their personal well being are influenced into thinking about what they could do to better benefit themselves and people around them. One will think to do an action which will emphasize outcomes. These people who are socially responsible are able to perform well with other peers. They put effort into getting involved and establish working and team ethics in doing so. The exact definition of Civic Responsibility is “responsibility of a citizen.
