My career interest is to go into the field of Exercise Science and be a Personal Trainer. When I was private trained as a cross country and track runner, it made me realize that it is incredibly amazing how you can transform the human body. I was slow and weak but once I got coached by my personal coach, I became faster and stronger. I like to help people and make people into the best they can be and I want to go into the field of Exercise Science to be a Personal Trainer because that is what Personal Trainers do, help people. You have to take up most of your time to help others and depending on where you go to find this job, will determine how many jobs are available. If you go to a bigger city, more people will come to you but if you go to a smaller city not many people will probably come to you because they do not know you are there. Personal Trainers, if you own your own business, can also decide how much they want to make. You can set your own hourly rate just like you set your own work hours and depending on your rate, that will determine how many people can afford your hourly cost. Normally, the typical yearly income is $50,000 a year to $130,000 a year depending on how much you want to work and how much you want to charge for your session. Most Personal Trainers are based in a gym. The environment can be big or small, as you are your own boss and you can choose what you want to have in your gym and where you want to have your gym at. The smaller of the gym you have, the more crowded it will probably be. The more bigger your gym is means the more spread out you will be. It is important to pass this exam and keep it updated because that means that you are then ready to assess someone else's life meaning they are putting you in charge and trusting you and that you have mastered all the skills that are needed to become a certified Personal Trainer. Some skills that are needed to be a Personal Trainer are supportive/motivational skills for when people feel like they might fail and are wanting to give up, good communication skills for talking to your clients, and you must be able to problem solve. If someone is feeling hurt or they just had surgery, you will need to be able to think of alternative ways for them to workout and you might need to make some adjustments. You also need to hold an up to date certification in CPR since you will be with clients that could have a heart attack or faint. There are hazards to being a Personal Trainer and some hazards do include weights being dropped on a finger or toe which may end in a result of a broken bone, dehydration and with you lifting your body get weak and then you fall, seizures, people vomiting, heart attacks or even
