Each vehicle has a carbon footprint less than half that of a typical diesel truck and as it is extracted from the landfill sites it is less expensive. This has already been implemented by Coca Cola but at a very limited number, as in 2012 they have bought 14 Biomethane trucks-powered trucks to complete the logistics within London and the results were very promising with the system being able to reduce the carbon footprint by 1,500 tons over the lifespan. This result when compared to commercial vehicles on the road would mean to remove 300 cars off the road. Pursuing this further is a viable option in reducing the carbon footprint generated by the company and it also adds to the efforts taken to make the operations environment friendly.
