Immaculata will be a better fit for me and improve my education experience and enhance my chances of getting a good job in the future and complete my milestones and goals. The Immaculata high school is located in Somerville,New Jersey. It serves students from Warren, Middlesex, Hunterdon, and Somerset counties. Their mission is to promote spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional growth. By using the pillars of faith, scholarship, service, and friendship. The school curriculum is mainly designed as a college preparatory and has a full complement of AP and Honor classes. Some reasons I favor this school is the chance of a fresh start to make new friends and the available transportation ways along with the price.
One reason I would like to continue my education at Immaculata High School is the available transportation methods along with the price. The total price including all tuition fees is $13,350-$13,750. Some ways I would be able to make new friends is through athletics and clubs. Some clubs I am interested in are Youth and Government club. This club gives students an opportunity to participate in a simulation of the New Jersey state government where Students can propose laws, change laws, and do many other aspects of the New Jersey state government. One of the biggest issues that many students and parents have concerning college education is the cost. Due to the state of the economy, affording college has become very difficult. Fortunately, the government is able to provide financial assistance in addition to the University’s own financial aid. Case is a private institution which means that it costs more compared to a public college. The tuition for Case was approximately, $38,000 in 2007 not including living or book expenses. Even though there was a tuition rate increase for every following year. The only way I was able to afford the tuition at Case was because of the scholarship I earned. In addition, I received federal grants and a substantial amount of aid from the University. I did not have a free ride but I received a great deal of financial help to pay for my college education.

What are stereotypes? Can those stereotypes define our identity? Can your suppose “blood” defines us? I asked myself those questions while watching the Imitation of Life directed by John M. Stahl and based on the novel written by Fannie Hurst. The movie’s storyline is about a white woman (Bea) and her daughter (Jessie) gives the job of housekeeper to a black woman (Delilah) and provides her and her daughter (Peola) a place to live. The shows the differences of both girls growing up on the same house and because they have the same “skin color” they are treated as equal. This happens until the truth of Peola’s background comes to light. Peola started to feel embarrassed and discriminated because of her true identity and so decides to reject her mother completely. Bea and Jessie felt bad on how Peola treated Delilah but they couldn’t do anything to make Peola understand that she was doing wrong. It is not until at the end when Delilah died that Peola understood and regretted everything she did to her mother but it was too late for her to be forgiven. The tragic ending of Peola, even though she didn’t die, shows that when you are trying to be someone else or apparent something you are not; everything ends badly. Peola is not the classic tragic mulatta but she shows that your “blood” defines who you are.
College students who have the opportunity to attend a university rather than a community college will find that the process of making friends is an easier one. Making friends while being in college has many factors strung a lot with it. Universities present a bigger opportunity of creating lasting friendships by providing more of a social life with dorm room living, greater social events and lounges for students to hangout at all through the day. The process of making a friend is a very unique one, and it does not come easy to everyone. In all reality, attending a university over a community college is the better approach when wanting to be socially active and meeting a variety of friends.
I grew up in a small town where everyone knows everyone. I was close with all of my peers that I shared school memories with from age five to eighteen. I watched my once young and innocent classmates grow into teenagers who live in poverty, develop substance abuse, and drop out of high school. Deep down I know my peers have potential to be productive successful individuals, but they were somewhat less fortunate than I was and did not receive that extra push during their school years. Meeting people will not be that hard, since most colleges offer a bazillion a lot social events at the beginning of the year. And the friends that students do meet in college you will be surprised as to how close students become to each other. This is mostly due to the fact that they live about twenty feet from them or even closer. Just think how much closer students would be to their friends in school if, to visit them, you just had to walk down the hall at midnight about three doors and walk into their friends bedroom. And you can never hide anything, because the student bedroom could end up becoming the floor social lounge and your bed could end up being the common couch.

My freshman experience was by far the longest and most difficult time in the four years I spent at American Heritage High School.
