Digital revolution is a worldwide phenomenon that not only changed the way people live and connect with each other, but also the way designers think and create artworks to express themselves or certain ideas. In fact, new technologies have revolutionized the world of design, giving designers new possibilities, tools and sources of inspiration that could be more than helpful to improve their creative thinking skills. In reality, Digital revolution has provided us uncountable benefits, which we are going to cite, but in a way or another, it has limited our creativity. How is that possible?

Illustration art plays a huge role in our designs by making them kind of unique; but even though some artists still use pencils and ink, some would rather illustrate on a digital platform, thus Illustration art is still alive but it is kind of fading away with the evolution of technology.
Finally, interaction is key. People live off interaction, and the newest technologies were made to make it easier for designers to make a point, which is why they are based on interaction between the audience and screens. It’s a two ways communication. For example, interactive billboards such as the Nutella jar that throws compliments at you. How can you forget that a Nutella jar once gave you compliments? Digital media has truly found a way to engrave products or ideas in people’s heads in a very fun way.

Technology and social change have long been vital in the evolution of graphic design and its importance in the society. In particular was the Industrial Revolution between 1760 and 1840, which brought about the transformation from agrarian to industrialized societies across Europe and America. Mass production was made possible by new technologies; availability and variety of goods increased and cost of manufacturing decreased, accompanied by the higher standard of living for many people. A consequence of mass production on graphic design was that it led to the demise of the unity between design and production. Craftsmen were replaced by modern technologies, sacrificing artistry for speed and cheaper production.
