The Truth About the Illuminati
“It is well known that there exist a conspiracy to dominate this world and this is commonly attributed to a group called the Illuminati” Jack Zavada reveals in his article, “What is the Illuminati Conspiracy”(2). The Illuminati is a group of individuals who work together in devious ways to manipulate and control the entire world in hopes of eliminating all religions, one day making all man submissive. The Illuminati is a Latin word meaning enlightened ones (“Whitney’s…” 1). The true meaning of Illuminat is people claiming to possess special enlightenment or knowledge of something. Members of this elite club believe that they are doing some miraculous work and see themselves as better than the rest of the world. Calling themselves the Illuminati demonstrates their strong need for power and control, it is for this reason, the name Illuminati was chosen by this megalomaniacal group of individuals. The Bavarian Illuminati was founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, who enlisted members to help him fight the supposed false teachings and religion and instead favor the scientific pursuits (Zavada 2). Adam Weishaupt was a realist, and during his time period, society focused mainly on religion and a governed set of rules. Joe Martino, a renowned author from Stanford, reveals, “Professors in Bavaria were the first to challenge the bible and were dubbed the Illuminati (3). People were not to question the church and science was not really justified much. The Illuminati has been around for thousand of years, but is only now being revealed. Tactics used by the Illuminati such as private funding, manipulation, and fear all aid the cult in governing the new world order. The many individuals involved in the crimes committed by the Illuminati are being attacked by media ultimately revealing themselves for who they truly are. The Illuminati is not a topic most people care to hear about, however it needs to be discussed. The Illuminati does control the world and it’s occupants, however the people hold the power to end their empire for good, all it takes is becoming informed about the Illuminati and refusing to be used to complete their plan for world domination.
Another popular conspiracy theory contains the Illuminati society. The Order of the Illuminati was an Enlightenment-age secret society founded by university professor Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776, in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The movement consisted of advocates of freethought, secularism, liberalism, republicanism, and gender equality. In 1785, the order was infiltrated, broken up and suppressed by the government agents of Charles Theodore, However, there is no evidence that the Bavarian Illuminati survived its suppression in 1785 (“History of Beliefs”, 2006).

Conspiracy theories have gained a greater discourse in the twenty-first century. Fictional narratives, Hollywood blockbusters, television series and documentaries, and many other pop culture mediums have used conspiracies to spin tales and capture an audience. In this essay I would like to argue that the dominant narrative of a historical event exists because the elite have the power to manipulate and transform it. The group in power values a hegemonic society, perpetuating certain myths in order to create social cohesion within a nation. As a result, conspiracy theories challenge the dominant narrative. This challenge is how subscribers use conspiracy to attempt agency over the elite. I will use the sinking of the Titanic and Don DeLilo’s novel, Libra, to demonstrate how the elite fight for narrative control and how a close reading of these narratives is necessary to evaluate conspiracy theories.
Fear begets hate and hate begets violence. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the 1741 New York slave conspiracy trials. Much like the violence in the Salem Witch Trials, a set of natural circumstances coupled with the word of one or two people from a lower order of society caused hysteria and bloodshed. When people talk about the Illuminati, they are talking about the most secretive, powerful, wealthiest, influential, sneakiest, manipulated, greediest people on the earth. People are completely oblivious of the Illuminati or chose to not believe this is going on behind closed doors. However, there are some people who do believe and are aware of what they are capable of. The Illuminati is harmfully corrupting our nation through the government, specialty groups, and celebrities.
It is hard to believe that a country founded on honesty, hard work, and good morals is involved with lies, deception, and manipulation. Since birth, as U.S. citizens, there has always been an underlying theme to accept things as is. Questioning the way society runs has never been popular. There are very few who actually go against the grain and offer inquisitions when they suspect things are differently than they appear. Rather than dismaying the skeptics or completely trusting the media, everyone should examine the facts individually and question the amount of government involvement and distorted truth in the American people's lives- and particularly in Sandy Hook on December 14, 2012.

The United States have withheld information to the public all the way back to the founding fathers. There are camps that the United States have created called FEMA camps otherwise known as Federal Emergency Management Agency that are similar to the ones used in World War II. The government has passed a law called Martial law where they can impose the law for a temporary period to maintain order, security, and power to the central government (APFN). The Martial Law will make the highest-ranking military officer to be above the judicial branch, executive branch, and legislative branch where he is in complete control over the citizens of United States. He will place U.S citizen in the FEMA Camps where they are forced to live inside the camp for an unknown period of time. There are enough evidences to support that the United States of America are making concentration camps.

To put it another way, a leader cannot lead without followers, and the followers cannot follow without leaders. This is why the Mafia was hard to overcome. History has come around with numerous prophecies about Apocalypse which contradicts each other, but recent years a new day has been set for the end of the world, December 21, 2012. The irony is that the date associated with the end of the world is constructed on the premise that history is cyclical and not linear. Predicting the Day of Judgment is a cultural phenomenon that speculates cataclysmic and apocalyptic events that will occur. This idea has been disseminated in countless books, websites, and documentaries. The forecast that the world will end in 2012 is based on the fact that the Mayan culture long-term calendar, which ends in 5125 and corresponds with our calendar’s date of December 21, 2012, warns of disasters that will end the world (Geoff, 38). Some believers of the apocalypse say that Maya astronomers have predicted the alignment of the earth, the sun, and the Milky Way center solstice on December 21, 2012. According to the prediction, the alignment is related to the procession of the equinoxes and is a sign of transition between two different eras of the universe. One interpretation of this transition, which refers to a new era, believes that during this period the earth and is inhabitants will experience a physical transformation. The year 2012 marks the beginning of this era. Other theories suggest that 2012 marks the end of the world or a similar catastrophe. Scenarios for the end of the world currently include a collision of the earth with a wandering planet, or a black hole, or the occurrence of the next solar maximum. Indeed, several synopses have been devised for December 21, 2012, but the most alarming is the coming of apocalypse.

By the same token, there have been some conspiracy theories that are usually against the culturally accepted beliefs of religions, science and society. A conspiracy theory can be described so differently. However, as in his text, Marshall Brain explicates, a conspiracy is generally defined as a theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act (Brain). Especially, after the new media has become quite popular, more and more conspiracies are theorized every single day, which aim to catch society’s attention via such media tools as the internet, journals and newspapers. Thus, people who theorize those conspiracies tend to use such objects as spiritual and mysterious ones in order to interest people. To illustrate, many examples can be given. For instance, many people have claimed that they were abducted by aliens, although they could show no evidences. Here, a citation from Blackmore could facilitate to understand the circumstance better. She states that people occasionally claim that they have been abducted from public places by aliens, in this case that may provide them with witnesses and affirmations but no evidence could be shown so far (Blackmore). As it is well known, only a small number of people believe such alien abductions, however, rating of this kind of news is quite high on media, because humankind has been wondering if there are extraterrestrial creatures out of the earth. Though numerous conspiracy theorists have attempted to slander the Masons and movies have tried to portray them as an ancient order of secrecy Freemasons remain as they have always been; dutiful citizens who work to improve the human condition and spread their message of brotherly love. Let us not be too quick in judging what we do not understand. Eradicate all prejudice. Understand that the Freemasons are nothing to fear nor to condemn and instead rejoice in the fact that the Masons have helped to shape the United States and create a democratic system of government never before seen by the world.
