As I completed my IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvement) during my Quality and Safety course helped me grow as a professional nurse. I feel that I came out more aware of the safety issues that happens in our healthcare. This helped me to be more conscientious and give quality care but also safety awareness to my patients. We as nurses are always striving to continuing our education and by completing this certification has helped me expand my safety and quality care knowledge. Another course that represented me as a professional nurse and learner is the task that I completed in Leadership Experience course. It was task 1, was when I discovered my hospital had an issue with lack of education causing high readmission rates for Acute Myocardial Infarction. I was given the opportunity to find the problem, research and investigate the problem, analyze and come up with a solution to the problem. I was also thought how to collaborate with other team members and families. I learned a lot about my facility doing this proposal project. I also how I was going to implement the proposal project and evaluate for its success. Overall, I felt that this course has thought me to work well with other and how to investigate and research to find solutions to problems.

We as nurses we wear many hats, and one of these is a scientist.
