Nurses have the ability to communicate with someone at their most vulnerable moment. Emotional stability is a quality that a nurse possesses due to them being calm in some of the most traumatic situations. Education gives us knowledge of the world around us and job descriptions help to address the quality and quantity of performance standards. Those who settle into a position are more likely to achieve long term goals,better position themselves and gain marketable skills. Overall employment of nurse practitioner is projected to grow 31% from 2016 to 2026,much faster than the average occupations (Summary). This means that there is a huge probability that this career will flourish and would put me in a substantial position as I start my career. This is valuable information to me because it shows me that there is a future in this career and it would not be depleting anytime soon. Several factors will contribute to this demand, including an increased emphasis on preventive care and demand for healthcare services from the aging population (Summary). The connotation of that evidence is that there will constantly be a need for a nurse practitioner, especially in the area of prevention and teaching to our always aging population. This is of great knowledge to me because it signifies to me that once I become a nurse practitioner there will always be a need for me which always guarantees me a job in this field.
