Jahkiya Jack Good Morning, To begin, I would like to thank you all for being here today. I’d like to thank my incredible campaign manager and media liaison for all the time and hard work they’ve been putting into this campaign. And, of course I must thank my family for their undying love and unwavering support. Today, I stand here before you humbled and eager to embark on this journey to the oval office. However, it’s important for you all to know that this is not a journey that I wish to take alone. We, as a collective body, must fight together to be the change we wish to see in our great Nation. You’ve all come here today because you have a vision for this country. You believe that in the presence of violence both domestic and foreign, there can be peace. In the presence of grief and sadness, there can be hope. In the presence of division, there can be unity. You believe we can put aside our differences and come together as one to do what so many around the world aspire to. Create a more perfect union. I wish that we could say that America is perfect the way it is, but we cannot. Our country is plagued with social conflict stemming from racism, false senses of what marriage should be, and the belief that a woman shouldn’t have a say in her healthcare. We need to alleviate the problems within …show more content…
However, if you listen to our opponents you’ll hear a different refrain. They say the government is getting in our way and that there is no solution. But, that’s not true. We are not powerless in the face of our problems. Lyndon B. Johnson didn’t accept the fact that although all men were suppose to be equal African- Americans were still seen as less. John F. Kennedy didn’t see Russia’s missiles in Cuba and say “well, there’s nothing we can do about it.” No, in the face of injustice and danger there is always a solution. And, together we can make that solution
That’s my stand on my country, and I believe that some Americans are beginning to discover that's their stand too. I hope that our nation will not only join their churches, organizations, or small groups to just vent about issues, but that they will join America's glorious cause, and recognize the gift of freedom and the promise of liberty so that they can redefine what has been thwarted by politics, disunity, and society. And through this, by the grace of God, began the process of healing in this great nation.
Franklin Roosevelt's Statue of Liberty speech he says, "Realization that we are all bound together by hope of a common future" (Roosevelt Pg. 10). Americans have one strong aspect that many countries do not, they have high patriotism and pride. Americans can come together to form the strongest bonds of friendship and courage. After an event such as a terrorist attack, American has faced two important moments, shock, then pride. That pride from an event is the American people coming together and rising up, putting all differences aside.
Together, we will lead our party back to the White House, and we will lead our country back to safety, prosperity, and peace. We will be a country of generosity and warmth. But we will also be a country of law and order.
Our country has gone through so much tragedy, but we came together as a country to be here for one another. When the U.S. falls down when tragedy strikes, through a quilt, diversity, and a memorial tree, together as a nation we get back up on our feet. Our country has been through a lot even through the bad times, but we still stand strong together as a nation Our country is like a quilt. We are all different but we are still together as one. Our country is diverse, everyone is different and has different opinions or thoughts. When tragedy occurs someone always makes the best out of it, like planting trees for the children who died.
“America: in the face of our common dangers…So let us mark this day with remembrance, of who we are and how far we have traveled...”
Hello beautiful bridesmaids, We are 5 weeks and counting until the big day!!!!!!! I can't (and yet somehow I can) believe that it is almost here. Goodmorning everybody, & Hey Sis! Have I ever called you that before? I think somewhere along the lines of calling you annoying and bossy I never remembered to call you “Sis,” but you are—and always have been—the best sister a girl could've grown up with. Sooo this speech obviously goes you my older & crazy sister Cathy! I want to start off by saying a few things and by thanking you.

Although these struggles put a strain on our country, we have always came back even stronger. My hope is that we will always continue to become better as a nation and make for a brighter future. My hope for the future is that our country can come together to solve pressing issues and get rid of the inequality and get rid of the violence. Working together has always been a big part of success. When a country stops working

On behalf of the bridesmaids and myself we would like to recognize and thank Amy DeBellis, _____ and Kathy Zarwi for being such wonderful hosts!
