In the field of social work, there are many jobs that someone could choose from. There are some many different things that someone could do. Some include, licensed social worker, school counselor, mental health, juvenile counselors, human service specialist, marriage and family therapist, and an adoption social worker. The list goes on and on. Mental health counseling and Human service specialist are two jobs in the social work field that are very similar in motivates, but can have very different job description. Mental health counselors’ job is an ever growing one. It is a rewarding career path that one may enjoy which requires excellent communication skills and a commit between each other.

Human service organizations struggle to find the volunteers they need to help their organizations to provide services needed in the community. One of the reasons why I think people find it hard to volunteer is because of the too many responsibilities at home. There are more single parent homes and many times the parent must work another job to support their family. Even people that are single find it difficult to support themselves on one income. By the time they get out of work they are too tired to commit themselves to volunteer in their community.
