Human Resource Management can Improve the Competitive Ability of Business
The starting point for a human resource strategy is the organisations strategic plan. A workforce must be put in place which provides departments with the correct number of appropriately skilled employees to accomplish targets in all departments. In order to achieve this, the likely demand for products or services must be anticipated and the future implications for recruitment and training considered. Effective communication between departments is vital if this approach is to succeed. For example:
· The marketing department can supply estimates of future demand.
· Operations management can detail the level of skill needed to produce the goods.
· Human resources can then recruit or fire people in line with the new requirements identified.
· Training may also need to send people on courses if the skill mix of employees is inappropriate.
Workforce planning is therefore an integrated process. It requires an overview of the whole operation of the business. In order to

The underlying cause of World War I was the build up of Nationalism, Imperialism, and Militarism in the 1800s. The “three isms” caused this great war due to the outcry in which they caused within the countries and their citizens including military build up, severe nationalism, patriotism, and extending a country 's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.
Everybody knows that the most enthralling stories have a good villain. A “good” villain refers to a character who is ruthless, cunning, and an all-around mastermind who keeps the audience guessing. Both of these villains are similar in their manipulative nature, their motivations, and their impacts on the characters and stories.
On Halloween night, one will inevitably see tween-aged girls adorned in sexed-up skeleton, vampire, and doctor ensembles. Costume companies design these provocative outfits specifically for children who want “a sexy look to give you the perfect butt” (Jones, 2014, p.7). The sexualization of girls’ clothing and, consequently, the girls wearing the clothing is not limited to one day per year, however. Popular retailers, such as Abercrombie Kids and Victoria’s Secret PINK, market children’s thong underwear adorned phrases such as “eye candy” and “call me”; push up bikini tops are commonplace in sections intended for young girls (Goldfarb, 2008). Even television shows such as My Little Pony are marketed to sexualize girlhood. The sexualization of girls is inescapable in today’s society, where it is pervasive on virtually all media platforms. This issue must be addressed immediately, as it damages not only the individual, but the well-being of society as a whole.
The Battle of Verdun in 1916 was a battle between the French and German armies and was considered to be the longest single battle of World War One. The impact that the battle of Verdun had on the French armies were so severe that Britain decided to take action.
