Purchasing a Laptop
Today’s world is full of technology, new things are created every day to make life easier and to keep people entertained. For the companies that create this technology it is a constant battle to stay on top of the newest trends of today’s people. With the growing popularity of Facebook, Myspace and Twitter even more people are looking for technology to help them access these things. The days of the “Old School” monitors and towers are all but forgotten. Monitors these days measure roughly one inch in width, far smaller than the once popular (now referred to as) dinosaur monitors. With companies like Apple and Dell constantly coming up with new devices it’s hard for the buyer to purchase with one is right for them. There are many things to consider when you’re shopping for a new tool to access today’s newest technology and the buyer must then ask his/herself “what am I going to use my device for?”
In recent years the tablet was designed, and now it is very well known. The tablet challenged the traditional laptops that were at the time the most innovative of the computer family. So the first decision one must decide when purchasing a laptop would be going with either a tablet of a traditional flip open laptop. Most of these have a touch screen or pen-able surface. Tablets are the much more versatile of the two and offer better gaming features for the avid temple run or candy crush players. They are small lightweight and user friendly. The other major draw of the tablet is the ability to download millions of apps, some free other must be purchased. There is an app for just about anything imaginable these days with technology playing as big of role as it does in daily life.

However, once one does find the one that is right for them it allows you to do what you have intended with ease. So before someone goes and spends a large amount of money on a device that may not be right for them stop and think “what am I going to use my device for?”

I am a current student of Thompson Rivers University and I would like to have a device that would easily provide me with accessible data and personal files, as there is a lack of available computers in the computer laboratories. This need has prompted me to the idea to buy a tablet. Many factors would convince me to purchase a particular model/brand, such as: national/religion and geographical environment, social status, and age. My interest to a modern device is a result of the upbringing in a modern society, with achievements in the field of electronic equipment and attendant skills of a consumer and corresponding set of values. Having a background in computer science, I know how important it is to have a good quality
A graphic tablet is important when it comes to graphic design as this allows user to add specific details a lot easier than they originally would have been able to.
Steve Jobs strove to deliver the elegant ideal. “People are busy”, he would say “they have other things to do than think about how to integrate their computers and devices.” And so, he took responsibility for the entire user experience, owning what he called “the whole widget”. Hardware, software and peripheral devices had to be seamlessly integrated. The leadership lesson here is to create products and service which reflect a passion for delivering delightful user experiences from beginning to end.
More new products need to be introduced and research needs to be done to find out which products will be most popular and profitable.
When customers decide what product or what brand they should purchase they consider a few different factors. Light users focus on pricing and the look of the products. Whereas, heavy users look for performance capabilities. Does the provide them with what they need during their activity?
According to Martin, C. (2011) the consumers have already experienced the first and second screen revolutions in the past decades and are now in the middle of the third screen revolution.
...verything in the consumer’s home. Many techies would love to have a box that stores security video, TV, internet, photos and music. Make that Wi-fi and Bluetooth enabled so that they can access it anywhere in the world and you could be on to something bigger.
For the people that desire a device that excels in specific criteria, whether that might be performance (computer gamers), portability, or price there are other devices meant for those purposes. Research has shown that most people would prefer a well-rounded device that can meet a variety of criteria with minimal compromise. The fact that the MacBook Air has met these criteria while still being compatible with other devices and programs is what makes it the best laptop. While it is unknown where technology is going, it is safe to say that Apple will continue to hold its place at the top. While other companies have tired to make a similar product, no one has made a true comparison to the MacBook Air.

If you spent any time in a toy aisle this past holiday season, you would have noticed a subtle shift starting to occur in toys. The old standby toys are giving way to more modern app-enabled versions. Manufacturers are finding any way they can to update classic toys to engage with modern tablets. Barbie is enabled with cameras that play back via apps, Fisher Price play sets embed them for interactive play, and Lego building sets can be controlled by them. Unless manufacturers embrace and utilize tablets with their products, the tablet will take over the toy market.
"Technology is like fish. The longer it stays on the shelf, the less desirable it becomes." (1) Since the dawn of computers, there has always been a want for a faster, better technology. These needs can be provided for quickly, but become obsolete even quicker. In 1981, the first "true portable computer", the Osborne 1 was introduced by the Osborne Computer Corporation. (2) This computer revolutionized the way that computers were used and introduced a brand new working opportunity.
Along with different brands, as you can imagine, there are an abundance of models too. So whatever you may desire in a phone, there are many different options to choose from when selecting an Android phone. As I stated earlier, the Google Play Store does not have many limitations on apps. This allows companies and individuals to upload and create their own apps, causing there to be more apps available to Android users. Not only are there more apps, the selection is much more broad and a desirable type of application may come in different forms over the Google Play Store.
In the fast pace world today, almost anywhere you go, you’ll run into some type of technology. New devices and upgrades are happening every day with technology such as computer, cell phones, TVS and even devices used for playing music. When you think about the way devices are now, it’s hard to believe that nearly twenty years ago, none of this was possible. Technology continues to change each and every day, making business, school and even our social lives easier to navigate.
