During the summer it was a great time to do things that i like. This summer was like all the others because i really don't do anything special within the summers. The only thing that i really liked was my birthday (kinda selfish) but that was basically the funnest thing during my summer. I will start at the beginning of my summer. it started out like any other summer just me and my brothers running around after school like always. I was so happy school was over i hated school last year. Anyways i was running around playing football with my brothers and my dad in our front yard. I think that playing with your family is the best thing you can do because you can’t always relive those moments when your family was still together and everyone is able to be active. …show more content…
I had crutches and it was hard to walk with them because i was holding all of my weight up with two arms i had the best forearm workout for a couple of months. Haha. I found out i had classes with a lot of people that were from football, my bus, and all the way back from second grade. My brother started school at pataskala elementary and he is very smart and he just flew through everything and his teacher kept getting mad because he wasn't following the way the directions told him he was doing it the way he was taught, but we explained to the teacher if he is getting the questions right why care how he does it. Anyway back to me i got into my classes and really didn't care about my grades then by the end of the second quarter i carded a lot about them. Math was very easy i just didn't want to do it. I hated language arts because all of the teachers i have had make it very boring. Until this year i got in Mrs.Booher’s classroom. We had a lot of problems at the beginning of the year when i didn't care about my grades because i had other stuff on my mind at that time. She made this year with language arts very fun. Also i'm finally into
I had a great fun winter break I was a little boring but mostly fun. First, I spent time with my friends right after school. For example, I went to the park with my Katelyn, Sophia, Nathan, Ethan, Christian, Martine, And Rustie and played on the jungle gym. Then I went to my best friend Serena´s birthday party a couple days later. We played with balloons and ate a lot of cake and ice cream. We both got really bad stomach ache after eating all that cake and ice cream. Second, I spent time with my family and went to a lot of places. For instance, went to Big Bear and we played in the snow. We played in the snow for at least one or two hours. After we played in the snow we got hot chocolate and went home. Last, I did a lot of shopping and went
new friendships, my summer was full of new and old experiences. Though over too soon, I
A couple of weeks ago, the class was assigned a personal narrative essay and the prompt was to tell an interesting story of a specific experience that changed how you acted, thought, or felt. To be honest, I was awfully excited to write this essay because talking about myself is the easiest thing to write about sometimes. However, deciding what experience to talk about was challenging because I have already experienced so much in my seventeen years of being alive from dislocating my hip when I was three, to seeing my grandfather die in front of my eyes, from almost tripping off of the trail on the Grand Canyon, to meeting band members at an airport. Writing this essay brought me many challenges, I did not know what topic to choose, I had no
Personal narratives allow you to share your life with others and vicariously experience the things that happen around you. Your job as a writer is to put the reader in the midst of the action letting him or her live through an experience. Although a great deal of writing has a thesis, stories are different. A good story creates a dramatic effect, makes us laugh, gives us pleasurable fright, and/or gets us on the edge of our seats. A story has done its job if we can say, "Yes, that captures what living with my father feels like," or "Yes, that’s what being cut from the football team felt like."
A narrative is a story. In writing a narrative essay, you share with the reader some personal experience of your own in order to make a point or convey a message. You may choose to tell how your grandfather influenced your desire to become an orthodontist, or perhaps you’ll relate the story of the time you didn’t make the cut for the basketball team. Whatever story you tell, your purpose is to share with others some experience that has taught you something or changed you somehow.
Every year I would go to summer camp, my sister, our two best friends, ...
Summer is time for friends, relaxation, and memories, but my summer was none of that. Summer going into freshman year was not the best because of school. Well even before I went into high school I heard stories from my cousins and other students about bullying and being thrown a penny at because I would be freshman. I was frightened for a whole month before school started. I remember asking my cousin how did he deal with all of that in school and he said “just collect all the pennies and save them and let the bullies beat you up”. You might think i was overreacting unless if you heard the way he was saying it. Walking into the hallways of Buffalo grove high school scared and cautious I enter my classroom, looking left and right,
Over spring break, I mostly played games with my family. Me and my family went to an amusement park in Arizona for my sisters birthday. Next we went home and me and my sister played games and watched Tv for a week. Every morning that my dad went to work, I had to get up early and go to the gym with him, so I almost never got to sleep in. One Saturday he was off, me, my sister, and my cousin went with him to a renaissance fair. When we were there we got to look at all the medieval shops and trinkets. There were also shows and games we could play. The day before, we went to an amazing horse and acrobatic show. They even flooded the stage where the actors were and made them dance in water. It was very fancy and we had a lot of fun. The next week
This summer was the best summer ever. On August 8, 2016, I didn’t sleep all night. I left my at 2am, and at 8:00am I left on a plane to what I this is the most magical plane on earth. I went to Puerto Rico.
We did so much, and it went by so fast, faster than any other previous year, and I wish it hadn't. My favorite part of this year was all of the trips. We went to Philadelphia and saw amazing buildings hundreds of years old such as the liberty bell and independence hall. We visited the Preschool down the road, and I made a new little friend. My favorite of all, Washington D.C. I got to spend 2 school days with three of my best friends still while learning. This was my favorite trip because I got to spend school hours with people on other teams, while still having fun. Eighth grade has more privileges than the other years, but you have to use them wisely. I wasn't exactly the best at using them wisely. Teachers knew me to be very sassy because I had quite the
The next, and possibly the most important building block of the CSR pyramid are the ethical responsibilities. The ethical responsibilities was one of Vermont Teddy Bear’s biggest strengths because the consistent quality and the strong relationships that was created between the company and the customers. The little things that the company provided such as the bears were American made and supplied with a 100% lifetime guarantee was the reasons that the customers always came back. Because of the previous release of new bears in the past, when the “Crazy for You” teddy bear was released the company clearly meant no harm. The main decision that impacted the ethical or unethical responsibility was the negligence displayed when Elizabeth Robert, CEO
Every school year my general feeling and perspective toward math changes slightly. Since about fourth grade, when the curriculum started getting a little harder, I still felt that good grades came naturally to me. I never had to try really hard or study for hours on end jus...
School was getting out and all my friends talked about their summer plans. I never got excited because I knew most of my summer would be consumed at my dad’s law firm doing whatever job he asked of me. None of which seemed important, it was obviously busy work.
The summer after fifth grade was a big summer for me. I felt all powerful since I would be entering the Middle School in three months. I had no idea that not everyone felt that I knew everything in the world.
I woke up and sighed. This was it, the last day of school before summer. Every child across the state would be waking up with a feeling of pure bliss. Girls would put on their favorite shorts and the guys would wear tight shirts to reveal their muscles the best they could. All rules set up to prevent any trouble at school would be broken repeatedly. There would be drama galore and the annual water balloon fight would be right after school. Exactly why I hated summer break.
