I had a great fun winter break I was a little boring but mostly fun. First, I spent time with my friends right after school. For example, I went to the park with my Katelyn, Sophia, Nathan, Ethan, Christian, Martine, And Rustie and played on the jungle gym. Then I went to my best friend Serena´s birthday party a couple days later. We played with balloons and ate a lot of cake and ice cream. We both got really bad stomach ache after eating all that cake and ice cream. Second, I spent time with my family and went to a lot of places. For instance, went to Big Bear and we played in the snow. We played in the snow for at least one or two hours. After we played in the snow we got hot chocolate and went home. Last, I did a lot of shopping and went
to a lot of different stores. One store was the Vans Store and got new shoes, Also I went to the Westminster Mall and got new clothes. I spent so much money my mom got mad at me. In conclusion, I had a amazing, fun, and kind of boring winter break.
Walking into Walnut Hills High School right now would have anyone thinking the just walked into the middle of a tornado. Everyone you look there are students running in and out of doors, in and out of cars, and most certainly either turning in missing assignments or retaking tests. There is only one way for you to explain all this ciaos, Senior Year, the year that all teens await with so much excitement and ambition and the year that every single hour long study dates pays off. For the class of 2021 this isn’t just their final year at Walnut Hills this is the year that friends separate and head off to their different university to follow their dreams.
Winter break was awesome and much needed. It was so tempting to just give up and not return to Pace for my spring semester, but there was still a small part of me that wanted to make my lifelong dream of living in New York City work. I returned to school slightly more optimistic and miraculously acne-free. I was determined to make spring semester my bitch. Having a better attitude and practically perfect skin definitely helped turn my college experience around. I grew closer with two of the girls of my floor and we branched out and started having more fun. Things were getting a little better, but I still wasn’t completely sold on staying at Pace. I was desperately looking for something, anything, to make me stay. Which
I could write about millions of thing to you, but I would really like to tell you all about my summer break. Don’t get me wrong it was an amazing summer in all but, I just wish I had a little more time with my dad, and a little less time with work. My dad’s been in the navy for about fifteen years, I do believe. He’s been stationed in Maine, Louisiana, Ohio, and now, The Golden State, California.
The next day we had pancakes that the hotel gives for breakfast. That was the best food I have had since the vacation has started. My family and I went to the beach right after that. The water was still cold, so I had to play with the sand. Instead of building a sand castle, I built a set of tunnel and stuff underground. Then, my little brother came and jumped on the tunnels and all of it fell down.
Candles are lit, cookies are baked, the hot chocolate is hot, snow is falling, now it’s time to get our movie marathon on! The candles added such a warm feeling in the house. As we set up for the movies, I could hear my brothers fight over the last cup of hot chocolate. Even though there was still 3 packets of the coca left. As Sophie and I slipped on our slippers, we went into my warm, nice-smelling room and took polaroid pictures. We were having so much fun, we totally forgot about the movie! We went downstairs and realized we had paused the movie and had panicked over absolutely nothing. This year over Winter Break, I plan to sleep in, play in the snow (if it even snows), and bake with my friends!
Gone Fishing. It was an exciting day for me, and I didn’t even know what was going to happen. My grandpa came to my house and then he told my brother Luke and I that he was going to take us on a fishing trip to Canada with his friend. We were so excited when he told us I told Grandpa, “This will be the best summer vacation ever!” After he told us we went and got gear like fishing poles, rain suits and food.
Today was my sister's birthday! We went to Animal Kingdom, Which had a really fun ride called The Legend Of The Forbidden Mountain, where you go up the coaster normally and drop backwards. I screamed really loud! After a while, we got lunch. We went to a restaurant in the park, where I had the best grilled cheese of my life. We spent a few more hours at the park and left at dinner time. That night, we had dinner at a really nice restaurant. I got steak and mashed potatoes and we left after eating for about an hour and went back to our resort. When we got back we went to our cousin's room and watched
I was being held under with no idea when I may get up, getting tumbled and dragged along the ocean floor. Each chance I pop up and gasp for another breath of air another wave crashes on me causing me to choke on the salt from the ocean. This has been my experience in high school, and once I am graduated it will feel like I can finally catch my breath and ride that first wave.
Vacations aren't always perfect there is always something that goes wrong. At least in my experiences. A perfect vacation to me is when we are all together as a family, which honestly doesn't happen that much. Having a 20 year old brother an 18 year old in post secondary school can make things complicated. Or having a vacation with no,ILLNESS, which can be very, very hard to do!! And I know I’m not the only one who has experienced this on a vacation!
At the age of seven, my life changed forever. I was no longer living in my native country; I was now a fragment of the millions of immigrants who come to the United States in search of the American Dream. At the time, my father had recently lost his job and my mother was unemployed, which caused incredible financial stress for my family. My father decided to risk his life crossing the Rio Grande River for our family to have a better life and greater rewards.
Spring Break is a time where you get to relax and spend time off from your teachers and classmates. The two things I liked was getting to spend time with my team and getting eighth place at a state meet.
Summer is time for friends, relaxation, and memories, but my summer was none of that. Summer going into freshman year was not the best because of school. Well even before I went into high school I heard stories from my cousins and other students about bullying and being thrown a penny at because I would be freshman. I was frightened for a whole month before school started. I remember asking my cousin how did he deal with all of that in school and he said “just collect all the pennies and save them and let the bullies beat you up”. You might think i was overreacting unless if you heard the way he was saying it. Walking into the hallways of Buffalo grove high school scared and cautious I enter my classroom, looking left and right,
My thanksgiving break was awesome! Here is how it started when I got down stairs from bed I smelt breakfast. When I ate breakfast I got dressed in nice pants and a shirt. Then I got on my belt with my 8 inch knife. Then we decided to load up the truck with food. Then we started are journey to my cousins house her name is Prarie. Then when we got there I hugged her and said hi.
Last year at the beginning of the school year I was just starting high school as a freshman at St.T. I was excited about starting there because I had the chance to meet some new people and teachers. Most of the students I had already went to school with from kindergarten to when we graduated eighth grade together, and I went to school with a lot of the upperclassmen in previous years at Our Lady of Lourdes so, I wasn’t scared because I knew so many people already. Anyway, the first semester was fine. I as on the cheer team, I had good grades, and kept them up, and i was gone almost every weekend hanging out with friends. Then the second semester comes. I wasn’t going to cheer practices, my grades dropped, and I missed so many weeks of school
...new classes, I soon realized what would be the biggest challenge of college: deciding on a major. Yes, I am one of those people who started college without first declaring a major. I soon heard every question, suggestion, and response regarding possible options. I even began concocting false majors to throw some people off. Large-Scale Demolition was a crowd favorite.
