Michelle Obama once stated, “Just try new things. Don't be afraid. Step out of your comfort zones and soar, all right?” As a kid this meant a lot to me and helped boost my confidence to do more and not be afraid of the unknown. My greatest fear had always been to ride a dirtbike. I tried and would fail miserably repeatedly, I simply gave up on myself and moved on. Fear is something in your head and can stop you from doing something that you might love. Many live on regretting not doing many things that they could have done when they had the chance. I didn't want to be the person who never learned how to ride a dirtbike.
I decided to start from the beginning and learned everything about dirt bikes. With so many different types of motorcycles, and so many companies that

The three main types of dirt bikes that are available to purchase are expensive, mid-price, and inexpensive. Under those categories are the different types of engines, two-stroke and four-stroke. The two-stroke engine, takes a mix of oil and gas and ignites it in the cylinder, providing the power and lubrication all in one motion. The four stroke engine, is similar to a car engine, but much smaller. In this type of engine, only the gas is burned, and the oil is reused again and again. These are the only type of engines that are used on dirt bikes, and require different care for each type of engine. The first category is expensive, which are usually the foreign makes that have been around since the dawn of dirt bike production. Husqvarna and KTM are two of the top priced bike on the market. Although KTM has only been around for a few years they are one of the top priced and top selling dirt bike manufacturers, this is true because of the high quality of their parts. KTM makes two great, expensive bikes the KTM 690 Enduro R , and the KTM 150 XC-W. Since these bikes were a bid pricey I decided to do a little more research on the dirt bike market. The mid price dirt bikes
The first models were petrol powered, as electrical lawn mowing devices had gone out of fashion due to the danger of electrocution after accidentally cutting the power cord. The original petrol powered trimmers where two stroke engines around 28 to 32 cubic centimetres in capacity powered by a mixture of “super” petrol and oil, today they are much the same with the exception of being powered by unleaded petrol and oil, but becoming more popular is the electric trimmer. A leader in engine technology Honda has taken the latest accomplishment, with Mini 4-Stroke engines. Powered by the only 360' inclinable (can be turned on any angle and still run properly) 4-stroke engine available today, the new Honda trimmers deliver smooth, dependable power and unsurpassed fuel efficiency. They require no special gas/oil mixtures so there's no chance for improperly mixed fuels.
motorcycling, by providing to motorcyclists and to the general public an expanding line of motorcycles and branded products and services in selected market segments (Harley-Davidson website, p.2)."
We all know that staying safe will keep us alive, but it is a boring way to live. The biggest regret a person can have is never trying what they always wanted. As mentioned before, time never stops, so it is crucial that they act now. We fight a battle before we are even born against millions of others to see who will get to the egg first and be fertilized and born. We did not come to this world to just be safe and to be afraid to do new things. We all have a reason to be here and the journey of life is to find our purpose in life. It is what makes life so great, but to get their we must take risks and overcome that fear. People are afraid of taking risks because of failure. They are afraid to fail and not get anywhere. However, that fear can be overcome is they keep pushing and keep trying and keep taking risks. Taking risks will get a person out of their “safe” comfort zones and the result of this can be something so

These same sorts of systems could easily be added to, or modified as needed, to track the new motorcycle lines HD will produce to attract both women and young adults. These systems have been an invaluable means for HD to reevaluate itself in the past and thus are ‘tried and true’ making it a moot point to replace them. HD, however, needs to concentrate some effort on implementing a system to determine the most appropriate locations for future dealerships. This new evaluation system will aid HD in determining effective locations for new dealerships and assist in providing further market share penetration for the company in essentially ‘untapped’ consumer areas.
The second reason why dirt bikes are better is, the dirt bike costs less than the quad. For most people, to save money is everything and most people would prefer less money. The quad is heavier than the dirt bike and that’s means there are more parts and if someone would break a big part of the quad like the engine, the rod is broken, or that person broke the gas line. This shows that more people would buy dirt bikes more than
Young males, and females are buying HD motorcycles over any other competitor. This thought was accomplished through the introduction of the VRSC’S, and the lower and narrow Sportsters, Dyna’s, Softail’s and positioning them in the market to a younger demographic. Secondly, HD needs to position the VRSC’S, Sporster, Dyna and Softail to also appeal to first time buyers of motorcycles.
There are many different automobile companies providing buyers with many styles of cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles. Toronto Star January 14, 2005 present ways to approach the automotive buying process. There are many different surveys, crash reports, and rating systems comparing different companies and their vehicles. Things you should look for when reading these published articles are who conducted the study? Who paid for it? Who gains from it? Who loses? These are all things to keep eye on as some automotive companies will run their own surveys making their products seem overpowering against the competition. Some prove their products are safer then the competition where the competition has been proven time and time again to make that survey seem inaccurate.
In order to provide a deep and complete analysis of the Motorcycle industry we provide an extended Porter’s five forces framework, because as we know this framework has several flaws and we have reinforced it with the factors we think affect the industry and alter its profitability.
Italian manufacturer Piaggio ranks as one of the world’s top four players in its core business. It has consolidated leadership in the European 2-wheeler market. Piaggio should not miscalculate its competitors. Competition in the industry is very powerful, not only nationally but internationally as well. This is due to two well-established companies in this sector which are the Japanese Yamaha and Honda. Yamaha and Honda strengths are their long-run experience in the sector and the high quality image of products. Due to participations to the motorcycle championships, these two companies constantly receive positive feedbacks to their efforts in researching for first class products. In the future, other kinds of competitors are expected to arise: Chinese companies whose ability to imitate and create similar products at highly competitive prices is getting more and more dangerous (Piaggio, 2008)
Fear comes in many forms, there is fear of embarrassment, failure, and injury. These are the three main fears that keep people from achieving their dreams. I say go for it, if you want to do something don’t let fear get in your way. Follow your dreams, make them come true. If you spend your life living in fear, you won’t accomplish anything, because to achieve your highest goals you must take risks. For example there are some ...
To learn and experience something new and out of your norm can be a pretty scary thing, almost like being in a foreign country and not knowing your surroundings; what do you do? You panic! I can remember clearly an event during my childhood, it was one of the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and that was learning how to rock climb. All my friend’s parents would take them to a nearby gym after school. It was a gym for kids and rock climbing was the cool thing to do. I wanted to go so badly and feel cool, just like my friends, but I was always afraid of heights. Never liked heights as a child, and when I was growing up I was left with that fear. One day I decided to face my fears, and thought to myself that rock climbing was an important skill to have under my belt. Also I thought this was a step closer to overcome my fear and rock climbing was the perfect way to get over that fear. I also knew this would be a great experience and will help me become physically and mentally stronger. What I didn’t realize was that learning to rock climb would also boost my self-esteem and to make me believe in myself more. I always felt on edge when I was faced with a new situation. It made me feel uncomfortable and not quite myself, it still does sometimes. But I knew with my very first rock climbing lesson there weren’t any more excuses! I simply had to face my fear and just do it. There was no going back.
