How to Make Beef Jerky at Home with No Smoker Beef jerky is a favorite snack for just about everyone. While most think you need a smoker to make it, you can actually make it at home without one pretty easily. All you need to get started is some ground beef and jerky spice. If you prefer to make your jerky out of venison, you can switch your ground beef out for ground venison. To make your jerky, start by combining your jerky seasoning and jerky cure with a little bit of water. You will then mix this mixture in with your ground beef. At this point, you will want to place the meat mixture in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Now, you are ready to make your jerky. To do this, you will roll your jerky into small discs and place it in the oven

Once you have everything that is needed, you can begin to prepare the dish. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Take the large mixing bowl and pour the sour cream and the can of mushroom soup into it. I use one can of Campbell's mushroom soup. You can use the off-brand mushroom soup to cut costs if you wish. The end result will be about the same. I also prefer to use fat free sour cream to make it lighter. However, any sour cream would work. You will need eight ounces of sour cream. Stir the sour cream and soup together, and they will blend into a sort of cream sauce. If it is too thick, add a few tablespoons of water to thin it. The sauce should slowly drizzle off of the spoon. You also need to prepare the beef. It is totally dependent on your preference as to how much beef you should use. I tend to use about two pounds of lean hamburger. ...

Venison, the nutrient-rich meat from deer, is a great substitute for beef. According to Kevin Rail, a fitness trainer, venison is an extremely healthy substitute for beef. In his article, Nutritional Values of Venison vs. Beef, Rail states, “from a nutrient perspective, these meats are similar” (Rail). Substitutes, to date, have been made from soybeans, peas, or even from animal tissues grown in a culture. What exactly is this “meat” grown in a culture? It’s called in vitro meat or “shmeat”....
