It was finally time. We pulled up to the building and it was huge. As my parents and I stepped out of the car, I could hear the country music from there. A smile lit up my face as we began walking toward the famous opry house. As we headed towards the gift shop, a security officer stopped us. “Here in about thirty minutes we will be sending everyone back to the front to go through the metal detectors”. “Okay” we said said as we started towards the gift shop. After the gift shop we headed back to the metal detectors and got in line. We made it through then headed into the opry and found our seats. It was about six when we found our seat and the show didn’t start till 7 so I had to wait a while. I decided to get up and use the bathroom and afterwards I stopped and got some delicious buttery popcorn, It smelled so delightful. When I got back the lady had begun talking and I knew the show would be starting soon. All of a sudden the announcer came on and spoke about the history of the opry. After that he said “And now welcome to the stage whispering Bill Anderson!” and the whole went wild. I felt the excitement starting to build up inside as the show went on. I felt so happy seeing some of my favorite artist playing live at the Grand ole opry right there in front of me. As the show went on, it just kept getting better …show more content…
When the show finally started back up, It was finally time for easton corbin to perform. He played A little more country than that, and a song called working man blues. Finally It was time, as soon as the crowd heard “released a song called hurricane…” the whole crowd stood up and cheered, before the announcer could even finish his sentence. The show was finished off with the song elvira, but all the singers came back out to sing Glenn Campbell’s favorite hymn amazing grace in memory of
Wide Open Country did share a picture of Randy Travis at the funeral. They shared that there were over 1,000 people at the funeral for Randy Travis. It turns out that Amazing Grace was actually the last song that Randy Travis performed live before his stroke happened. This made it the perfect song for him to perform now that he is able to get on stage again. Everyone at this funeral had to be surprised to see Randy up there singing.
The evening opened with a nice pieced titled, Time After Time. The song opened with a guitar solo performed by Tyler Jones from Baxter Springs, Kansas. This particular piece had great dynamic contrast as it started out quiet and then gradually got louder. The song also featured a miraculous trumpet solo by Justin Crossman from Leavenworth Kansas. Justin stole the show with his remarkable
At the very end of the concert, all of the choirs came together to sing, “ I hear America Singing!” It was a great way to end the concert with all of the singers coming
As my brother, sister, dad, and I pull up to the house, I look at it with uncertainty, not knowing what to expect. It was a small blue house and had flowers planted around it. We walked up to the house with me in the lead. That didn't last long though. I was too nervous, so I stood still and turned around, waiting for my dad to get ahead of me.
...ly cold and he wanted to keep them warm so after he preformed the song Voodoo Child he had gone right into it. Not surprisingly everyone was extremely enthusiastic for Jimi and wanted to hear an encore of our Countries anthem.
The first person to play was supposed to be Sweetwater but they were stuck in traffic so Richie Havens had to open up the festival. Richie did not want to open the show and kept making up excuses but Michael Lang was not giving up he knew he could do it. At 5:07 pm he sucked it up and went out there and sang his spiritual heartwarming music. He was only suppose to do forty five minutes worth of songs but the crowd wanted more so he went back on stage and sang every song he knew. His last song was called “Freedom” everybody loved it so much that other bands had to do fantastic to compare. (Hilstrom)
We all managed to make our way to the very front right by the stage. Janice Joplin was supposed to begin playing at 11:45 and after her The Who was supposed to come on. We mingled with everyone as we were waiting. Finally Janice and her band came on stage and yet again, the crowd was overcome with love and peace, swaying from side to side, it felt so natural. Everyone was just syncing together as if we were all one. I looked down at my watch and it was 5p.m., the bands had just finished so we were just walking around the festival. We sat by a campfire with about ten other people and before long it was beginning to get dark. Laura and I said our goodbyes to all of the friends we made at Woodstock and began to walk towards the exits heading home. I knew in that moment that this was a weekend I would forever remember, and I did. It was the most beautiful, memorable time of our lives, and it held so much love and peace without any judgment at all. Over those two days, we made many friends and great memories. Woodstock was unlike anything else I had ever been to or heard about and was lucky enough to have been able to witness
So the show starts, and I’m not sure what to expect. Paul comes out and introduces the band, ( very good English accent ) and then started out with “I want to hold your hand “. He mentioned that their songs would for the most part go in chronological order. And after comparing notes to my book, they were on track for the most part. All of the songs played before their break, were songs on albums released before Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band. I wasn’t impressed with this song, however. No, it isn’t my favorite song, but I just wasn’t impressed by the playing of the song. The song, the beat, something was dead about the song, hard to put my finger on it.
Heading out the door, I look up and there it was a vehicle. A 2000 Toyota Camry positioned like a statue, as if turned to stone. Confused, I was and have stared profoundly at its glory. At that time, many questions came into my head. What is a vehicle doing outside my house? Whom is it for? When did it arrive? I was not thinking straight, so I start screaming and shouting from the top of my lungs. Considering this beauty was mine. What a surprise? My father standing next to the vehicle hands me the keys and says you deserve it for your hard work and dedication. I am amazed finally the time has arrived, my own car.
Before the actual performance began music was played. I thought nothing of it assuming it was music to simply hold the crowd. And also I under was the impression that this would end once the show began but to my surprise this featured music was ...
The day started off pretty normal, well, besides the fact that we had all stayed in a house with nothing but an old Nintendo system and a couple of lawn chairs. We went to breakfast at Denny's, after which we made our way to Denver, the site of the day's big event. On our way to my cousin's apartment, we drove by the multi million-dollar complex. It had a huge billboard that said "Summer Sanitarium." To my surprise, I kind of got a nervous feeling. Why? I do not know. We proceeded to my cousin's apartment where the entire group conglomerated in preparation of the concert. We had a large group of people that consisted of Carter, Josh, Seth, Sam and his two brothers, Tim, Kim, Eric, my brother me and. While waiting for the right time to arrive at the event, we had the radio turned to a station that was playing Metallica in honor of their presence in Denver.

Without warning, the lights went dark. This was the moment I had been waiting for. My adrenaline went through the roof. The time had finally come that I would get to see and hear my first live concert.
