With multiple people being in a chain of responsibility, taking action of what is needed to be fixed, will create a chain of motivation for others to do the same. Having more responsibility, when conflicts arise you will have more solutions because you were able to branch out with that responsibility and learn new things. A lack of responsibility will lead to laziness, not having the drive to do something creates a sense of unwillingness and gives you less energy. Such as the two boys on the Grapevine who would goof off and not do their work. It let the entire group down and they needed to work harder to get the paper out.
Also, it could be extremely advantageous to different communities for solving issues. If more people are to join services for the community and work together then more solutions could be provided from a variety of people. It would help everyone come to a consensus because you’d have more ideas to pick from. This is like how so many people were involved in The Wave, so there were more people you could go to because everyone was united instead of being their own, separate, unique individual. Not all people can agree with the statements above. Not everyone believes that taking responsibility will help society as much as working by themselves. Some believe that not taking responsibility will help stress levels go down. We all know those people in school who don’t so their work or make bad grades. People are social creatures and it is not surprising that working in a team environment can increase productivity, reduce boredom and complacency, while increasing respect and loyalty towards employers.
In order to be a responsible citizen in the world, a person must “take charge of their lives. They make plans for nurturing their talents and skills” (Spellings 15). Humans have done this so far but not always ending in positive results. A person can take charge of their life, as long as they do not allow too much progress to result in doing too much to take charge of their lives along with using their talents or
Responsibility, must be put down though we ought to change the definition notions. We want to be held responsible by society.
ability to give off responsibility has created a lazy society where people of all parts of life have
People may possess a multitude of skills and qualities that make them leaders but only a select few contribute to their success. These qualities help to distinguish them as leaders in their homes, committees and more. As a leader, one should always strive for their “team” to get better rather than just being good (Halverson). pushing them can be effective in helping them to get more done and improve their skills. A leader would not work his followers to the bone for they would tire out easily. this could end up decreasing productivity while people would look forward to working. By wanting to improve, a team can push through barriers as opposed to only trying to reach a certain level. Th...
Responsibility is a big key in being a great leader because it is both a curse and a gift. There is a difference between taking responsibility of something and giving responsibility. To be given responsibility of a certain thing is a privilege because it exposes a certain type of trust. Assuredly as a C.E.O., knowing the difference between the two could be a huge life saver; such as, giving responsibility to employees can increase productivity by letting t...
... that areas of expertise can be exploited, different people are good at different things. Groups can discuss material, and that discussion can improve the quality of the decision. Groups are less likely to suffer from judgmental biases that individuals have when they make decisions. People are more likely to follow through on decisions made by groups that they are connected to. Also, more monumental decisions can be made in groups, because one member will not be singled out for blame, making the entire group responsible.
When that time would come by to ask for help for the work, I would never actually do it and the work would never be done. I would have a sense of dread when this would happen but, ultimately, it would seem like I didn’t have that “Panic Monster” that Urban had mentioned in his talk. It would seem like it was dormant for most of the time during freshman year. Heshmat (2016) also mentioned, “The most significant predictor of procrastination is a task that’s considered unpleasant, boring, or uninteresting” (para. 5). With this point, it shows that procrastination isn’t necessarily something we have learned to do, rather that we do it because when there is something that we do not want to do, it is only natural to leave it alone until there is something that pushes us to actually do
This is done through the two commitments of fostering collaboration by building trust and facilitating relationships and strengthening others by increasing self-determination and developing competence. This is another practice that Sally could use being a senior manager because she is in charge of getting her team members to work together. As she works with them and they work with each other, relationships are being formed and trust is being built. There are many ways Sally could increase the self-determination of her employees. She could provide them with choices in their projects and hold them accountable for their projects. Sally also used this practice with David when she made it known to him that he was held accountable for not completing his projects by the required due dates. This is beneficial to use because it allows the teammates to get to know each other better and collaborate to come up with new and different ideas. It also encourages workers to try their best when they are held accountable for their
I feel that responsibility can be directly tied into delaying gratification. The three main problems I see with responsibility are people either denying the fact that a problem exists, taking too much responsibility for the problems that do exist, and knowing the fact a problem exists but putting of solving the problem. The latter of the three main problems is directly related with delaying gratification because it involves putting off the difficult things.

The main reason why community service is very important is, it brings people together.
