In 1904, he received his bachelor's degree at the university of California. Soon he designed sewer pipes for the San Francisco sewer department. He became a cartoonist and sportswriter for the San Francisco Chronicle (1904-07), San Francisco Bulletin, and New York Evening Mail(1907-21). That is where made three long running comic strips. Dr. Seuss was born in Springfield, MA on March 2, 1904 as Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss At Work). He attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He did his undergraduate work at Dartmouth; postgraduate, Oxford and Sorbonne( SV DO or C; S, DO or C) (Geisel, Theodor Seuss). Seuss became the editor-in-chief for Dartmouth’s Jack-o-lantern, the college’s humor magazine. It was now when he started signing his works with the pseudonym, Dr. Seuss. After his studies became too much to handle, he quit college and toured around Europe. When he returned home he began pursuing a career in cartooning (All About Dr. Seuss). He illustrated a collection of children’s saying called Boners. These sayings were not a huge success. He pushed for his original book, To Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street to be published seventeen times.

Burrhus Frederic Skinner was born in a small town called Susquehanna, Pennsylvania on March 20, 1904. His dad was a lawyer and his mom was a house wife. Skinner was the typical boy, he enjoyed playing outside and to build things. He created many inventions as a kid. He and a friend made a cabin in the woods and Skinner created a cart with backwards steering. When working for a shoe store he thought of and invention that helped the broom pick up dust. Skinner also invented a flotation system for a door to door business that would sell berries. The flotation system separated the ripe berries from the bad. Skinner also enjoyed school very much. He even dedicated a book later in life to his English teacher Miss Graves. Skinner did not have a tragic childhood it was fairly easy. The only tragedy was that younger brother died at sixteen from a cerebral aneurysm.
