Passion. Innovation, self-confidence, the power to motivate, the courage to take risks, and a vision; these qualities are what make a great leader. But, what makes a memorable leader? Well, it’s going above and beyond what others are doing, its taking creativity to a new level and inspiring people. Walt Disney is a leader who did that; with his innovative trait he was able to transform the entertainment industry.
Throughout Walt Disney’s 43 year career, he was able to pioneer the fields of animation, create the world’s best theme parks, and inspire and delight generations of people through entertainment. By doing this he left his legacy on the world, establishing himself and his work as a genuine part of America.
From a young age Walt developed an interest in art, at just seven years old he was selling drawings to neighbors. In high school, teachers asked him to tell stories to the class while illustrating on the board. He also attended an arts school at night during his teenage years. After spending a year in France working for the Red Cross he returned home to pursue a career in commercial art, leading to his interest in animation.
Disney began producing short animations for local business’, and then wound up starting his own company, “Laugh-O-Gram.” Unfortunately, after moving to Hollywood in his early twenties the company went bankrupt. But this set back didn’t stop Disney, he continued to work in order to make his desires become a reality. After marrying his wife Lillian and having two daughters, Walt came up with the iconic “Mickey Mouse.”

Being a risk taker allows an individual to explore new innovations. While others were hesitant to take a risk, Walt was optimistic. When he had a vision or an idea, he ran with it.
The leadership skills of Walt Disney are truly inspiring. He is a real role model, one who you can look up to and see that through hard work anything is possible. He left a legacy behind, the world knows his name and will continue to be entertained by his work forever. The great thing about him is that it wasn’t just his close followers that were inspired, but rather, generations and generations od people around the world.

Walt Disney is the greatest entrepreneur of all time in most minds of little people and big people everywhere. The reason for this is he started his ‘business’, selling sketches, at the age of around seven years old. He was a vibrant child, as well considering he painted the side of his barn with tar. To him schoolwork was boring which he actually said once he was a lot older. Walt Disney was a family man, considering he had so many children; his children even had lots of children. Walt Disney was a man with a lot of talent, character, and imagination, who deeply loved fairy tales.
He took a live human and inserted them into a cartoon. He was the first to do this. After he produced so many of these shorts, it was when he found his place in Hollywood. The more shorts he did, the more famous and well known he became. Walt had accomplished so much in his life, but the only thing left was a family.
With a name like Walt Disney, it seems like you are expected to do great things and have your name known across America. From a young age, Walt Disney had an interest in all things animation. Growing up in a time where animation and TV was making its first appearances, Walt Disney wanted to be a part of the sensation. Striving and pushing forward with his natural talent of the creative arts and entertainment, Mr. Walt Disney became one of the most well-known entertainers that is mentioned all around the world. His great animation and artistic works but also with his world famous characters and popular theme parks, the first one, Disneyland, being built in Anaheim, California in 1955.
In the 1950s, Walt Disney, achieved his lifelong dream of creating the happiest place on earth known as Disneyland. Disney, in some way, is a part of many people’s lives all across the world. . Disney print ads and commercials can be seen worldwide. Without Disney we would not have the animation and fairy tales that many of us enjoy today. . Walt Disney’s dream and genius idea created an inspirational business that is a part of many generations of families around the world.
Walt Disney is an idol to many people, including myself. I believe his self-confidence and dedication are great examples for any child to follow. Disney’s successes, and failures, inspire many people who strive to achieve something as great as Disney was able to. The theme parks he created are magical places, and the movies he produced are classics. While Walt Disney may be gone now, he most certainly still deserves a round of applause.
Walt Disney, the founder of Disney, was born on December 5, 1901. He founded Disney in January 1920. As a young child he had moved around a lot with his family due to work. Disney brought many other things besides its outstanding animation work, its magical theme parks and tremendous amount of merchandise. Without the help of Walt Disney and his lifelong partners, Walt Disney company would never had strived its way into modern day.
