‘’Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of god’s children’’. Dr Martin Luther King really had an impact on my life. He made it so that I wasn't raised thinking segregation was an okay. He also made it so that I could know my best friend, Nelly, and she means the world to me. My last example on how Dr Martin Luther King had an impact on my life is, he made it so that I could know you always need to stand up for what you believe in. He showed me how much he wanted to change things and then he was able to. I feel that this world, this life i'm living would be very different if Martin Luther King didn't stand up for what he believed in. What if segregation was still around today, I mean think about it. I'm so grateful for what Martin Luther King did. I'm imagining how my life would be different if my parents were raised thinking segregation was okay, so then that would have led to my parents teaching me that segregation was okay, but it's really not. What if Martin Luther King knew what needed to be changed, but he never did anything about. What if he never did any protests and never wrote his ‘’I have a dream’’ speech. My whole life would be different, in fact everyone's lives would be pretty different. The good thing is he did know what needed to be done, he needed to stand up for what believed was right. In my opinion he definitely was right, and what he did has changed a lot of people's lives. I think it's superb to have the courage to stand up for what you believe is right. I think everyone should always try to fight for what they believe.
