Agatha developed the genre of mystery, she had to overcome some depression, and she contributed to the popularity of mystery books. Agatha Christie changed the world.
Agatha Christie is important today in the world because she grew genre of mystery. Before Agatha Christie started writing, mystery books were not acclaimed and were not so common. Agatha Christie changed that with her most writings. Agatha Christie’s most famous book was The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. Agatha’s books were only outsold by the Bible and Shakespeare. When she was eight years into her writing, she found out that her husband was with someone else. The stress made her want to disappear. According to History Extra “On Friday, 3 December 1926, Agatha disappeared.” She had seemed to have left in her car and drove away. The police looked for her car and found it pretty quickly. The car was a little damaged. The fact that the police got confused about was that Agatha was not found near where the car was found. The police thought that Agatha might have been in an accident. Adding to that, the car was found near a natural spring, so some people thought Agatha drowned herself. Agatha was gone for many days, and she created one of history’s largest manhunts. After eleven days after her disappearance, she was found. Agatha was found in a very high-class hotel. She was safe, but she didn’t remember anything. She was confused when she was found and the police found out that she did get in a car crash. She was found it was a condition that Agatha lost her memory ( the result of the car crash).
