In 1920, the Germans developed a political party called the Nazi Party. The party emerged from German nationalists and racists. In 1921, when Hitler became chancellor, he supported this party and became somewhat of a leader to the party. They segregated anyone different; for example, the Jews, homosexuals, the handicapped, and anyone who opposed their political party. As years go by, the hatred seemed to grow and the matter gets worse, leading to the holocaust. During this time, Hitler and the Nazi Party controlled everything, including the education system. Before this all started, the education system in Germany accepted the Jews in public schools. Once Hitler became chancellor, he changed German society, the impact of Nazism, and the role of nationalism by education. In the most convenient definition, education is the process of imparting general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and preparing oneself intellectually for life. The Nazis took a more complex toll to the education system,using it to their advantage on practicing the use of propaganda and allowing it to become a major tool to spread the Nazis’ racial policies. This education system took lots of attention and effort from Hitler and the Nazi Party. They focused on the German youth because Hitler believed that the children had the power and set a goal to create pure Aryan men only so that they won’t be defeated in the next major European war. They changed the ways of learning in school and developed youth groups such as the Hitler Youth. These changes vastly affected the lifestyle of Germans. The success of these youth movements were promoted by indoctrination. Hitler believed that all these changes would influence people to support him. It seems as if the... ... middle of paper ... ... Youth to grow quickly. Hitler’s visuality of the “Thousand Year Reich” led him to try and gain support from young people. The Thousand Year Reich was the German Empire. Hitler aimed for it to be in running for 1,000 year but it turned out to be much shorter. I’m glad it ended sooner than later. HItler was a ruthless leader. How much more Jews would be have killed by the Nazis. Once the Nuremberg Laws were passed in 1935, Jewish children could no longer attend schools. The Nuremberg Laws took away German citizenship of the Jews and prohibited sexual relationships and marriage between Germans and Jews. Taking away someone’s citizenship means they are somewhat of an illegal resident in the country so Hitler has the power to not allow Jewish children to go to school. These laws weren’t just for Jews; it was extended to negroes, gypsies and anything else different.
