Playstation
One of the biggest giants in the video game world today is Sony and their revolutionary Playstation. Right now their Playstation 3 is in circulation throughout the world, but prior to last year there was the original Playstation, and Playstation 2. This was the first video game system that used CD’s as disks for their games, instead of the usual cartridges used by Nintendo, Sega, Atari, and many other companies. It started off as a collaboration with Sony and Nintendo in 1988 trying to create an extension to Nintendo’s console Super Nintendo called the Super Disk, since most companies were about to start making systems that way, and it was also much cheaper to create. Since Nintendo figured out that Sony would get all of the rights to their games so they split apart and did not finish creating the new addition. This is when Sony kept going with the CD concept and after a few years created Playstation.
After Sony parted ways with Nintendo, Sony began researching and developing the original Playstation in 1991. It was released in the United States in September 9, 1995 and was also known as Playstation X otherwise known as PSX. It played CD-ROM’s and was the first video game system to start this trend. It was released at $299 in the United States and the original games cost thirty dollars. It was revolutionary with 4 shoulder or on the back buttons known as the “R” and “L” Buttons, it also had more than one joystick along with a grip pad on the sticks. The Graphics unit was separate from the actual CPU and had a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels and was in 2-D. The actual computer inside was a 32-bit RISC, held 2 megabytes of RAM as well as 1 megabyte of Video RAM. The library of games was almost 1,000 and was used...

Many people agree that Sony’s Playstation 4 is better than Microsoft’s Xbox One and vice versa. I have been gaming since I was seven years old and still am today. The first gaming console I ever had was the original Xbox. Throughout the years though, technology has improved vastly. The last generation of game consoles gave the industry a much needed boost and gave the consumer another commodity. With the eighth generation of consoles just arriving, a lot of people are wondering which console to buy. There is, however, more than just the choice of games. There’s differences in processors, graphics cards, hard drives, design, operating systems, ports, versatility, stability, controllers, and, of course, the games.
Which system is better, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, or Sony PlayStation 2? Which system is the better buy? These are just some of the questions people ask themselves when it comes to purchasing one of these systems. In my opinion, I believe that the “best buy” is the PlayStation 2.
The next generation of video consoles, the Xbox 360 (2005) and PlayStation 3 (2006), featured still greater integration of proprietary gaming networks and consoles. There are many different types of XBox games. The most famous X Box games are known as X Box 360, XBox Live, and XBox One. It is one of the popular game in the world.
Do you or any of your friends play video games on a console? If you ask gamers the question, “gaming console you like the most?” they will probably say Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Xbox and PlayStation are known as the most popular gaming consoles of all the time. These two consoles have been competing for a very long time for the throne of the best game console since 2001 until now. In this article, we are going to find out which console has the best advertisement, We are going to determine this not by the console’s hardware, not by its cool features, and not by what exclusive games they have. It is because to grade the games and features are good or bad is kind of difficult because everyone can has different games

...lah S.). The PlayStation 4 released November 15 of 2013 and had preorders larger than launch sales of Sony’s PlayStation 3 at one million orders. The people have waited almost 7 years for a brand new gaming console. That 7 year wait has tremendously increased the demand for the new console.
In the console-gaming world people know Sony and Nintendo. Microsoft may be the largest and richest software company in the world, but it’s unknown when it comes to console gaming. Microsoft is counting on the Xbox to change that perception. Gamers may not be willing to take a chance with the Microsoft Xbox, even if it is far superior to any console ever made. Nintendo Gamecube is nothing if charismatic. Nintendo’s new machine is half the size of any other console and looks like a toy with its brightly colored plastic shell and handle. It’s destined to be home of such popular games as Mario, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, and Kirby. Nintendo Gamecube seems mismatched as it goes up against the Microsoft Xbox and the Sony Playstation 2 (a multimedia mayhem that Sony says it’s supposed to be “The Future Of Entertainment”). All this makes you think; what makes Nintendo believe it can possibly go up against the ultra-sophisticated Xbox.

Video games started as arcade machines with simple graphics and even simpler stories, soon evolving into home gaming with The Magnavox Odyssey, the world’s first home-gaming console. It invaded living rooms in 1972, selling 300,000 units. Since then there has been many consoles and games released, some have been huge commercial successes which
"Technology is like fish. The longer it stays on the shelf, the less desirable it becomes." (1) Since the dawn of computers, there has always been a want for a faster, better technology. These needs can be provided for quickly, but become obsolete even quicker. In 1981, the first "true portable computer", the Osborne 1 was introduced by the Osborne Computer Corporation. (2) This computer revolutionized the way that computers were used and introduced a brand new working opportunity.
Owning a gaming computer is one of the best investments a person can make in their life. Having a gaming computer can greatly influence one’s entertainment ranges and personal hobbies. Every gamer or anyone who occasionally games should have a gaming computer instead of a gaming console. A gaming console only provides people with basic programs and simple user interface while a gaming computer can be used for any needs one need. A gaming computer is one’s own cable box but better. Having a gaming computer you can have it fully customized to fit whatever theme you would like it to fit, can run many programs and other applications faster than a console, and can be loaded with a plethora of multiple useful programs one can use.

In 500 B.C. the abacus was first used by the Babylonians as an aid to simple arithmetic. In 1623 Wihelm Schickard (1592 - 1635) invented a "Calculating Clock". This mechanical machine could add and subtract up to 6 digit numbers, and warned of an overflow by ringing a bell. J. H. Mueller comes up with the idea of the "difference engine", in 1786. This calculator could tabulate values of a polynomial. Muellers attempt to raise funds fails and the project was forgotten. Scheutz and his son Edward produced a 3rd order difference engine with a printer in 1843 and their government agreed to fund their next project.
This particular computer also intrigued me because of its processor. The processor is a common one, an Intel Pentium 4. I like that Sony decided to stick with Intel, since they are an American brand. The exact processor they used is the Intel Pentium 4 3.6Ghz 560J with HT Technology. The Hyper threading technology is very helpful and I’m glad they decided to use it because it really makes multi-tasking even with complex software faster and more efficient and significantly cuts down on the lag. The 3.6 Gigahertz processor is very very fast and can handle even the most multifaceted functions. The bus speed is also very impressive coming out with a total of 800 solid Megahertz’s. This is an extremely fast bus speed considering it only has one successor the 1066 Mhz speed.
