Have you ever wondered what it takes to get a great job? What job fits you best? Or what job should you do? To answer all these questions you have to think about yourself and your character traits that you appreciate the most. For example, Hestia is the goddess of fire. She is a daughter and an older sister. She has wondered every day to find out what job fits her best. The best job so far that fits Hestia is a therapist. Hestia would become a magnificent therapist because she is very calm even in hard times, likes to be there for everyone, and is always successful.
One important reason that Hestia should become a therapist is because she loves helping others. Hestia has shown the love for children when “those in need to be sheltered and

Hestia has always been calm throughout her life. Through the time Hestia has always loved to stay outside in nature where only the birds are chirping. “These virtues define the goddess Hestia: mild, gentle, forgiving, peaceful, serene, dignified, calm, secure, stable, welcoming, and, above all else, well-centered” ( Hestia Greek Goddess 6). This shows that Hestia is well suited for this job because she shows the patients she has even in tough time. When Hestia is working, she always shows the time and the focus she put into her work. “Hestia, as keeper of the hearth, goes about her tasks in a calm, centered, focused manner - whether she is sweeping or doing laundry, she is fully engaged, focusing on her task at hand--like a meditation--and not at all concerned about the clock or what she will be doing next”(Goddess Hestia 16). To become a therapist you have to understand how to be one because Hestia has shown that she is focused on her work no matter what it is. I am sure that Hestia will prove that becoming a therapist is a well-suited job for her. Hestia has met and outpaced these qualifications through her successful years of being an amazing person, and proving herself that she is an excellent applicant for a career in becoming a
Hester is affected by isolation physically and emotionally. For example, in the book Hawthorn describes Hester and Peal in the woods in two very different ways, Pearl seems to catch the sunlight and it seems to dance around her but Hester when she nears the light it seems to run away from her. This shows that she has lost her beauty by being isolated and not taking care of herself. This is because she is isolated and seems to not care about anything but taking care of Pearl and not about herself. Hester was not only isolated but alienated as well because she would not reveal who the father of her child was. As a result she would pay for the si...
One of Hester’s greatest qualities is her unrelenting selflessness. Despite her constant mental anguish due to her sin, the constant stares and rude comments, and the
Hedda elicits sympathy from her audience because it is very obvious she is unhappy with her life. Women are suppressed by society and considered inferior to men. That is even more so in this time period. She expresses boredom with the life she has chosen during her conversation with Judge Brack in Act II. She talks of how she has these “impulses” to do these little things, assumingly to add a little spice to her life (Ibsen, Act II).
Nella Larsen wrote Helga to be ahead of her time. She’s a fiercely materialistic and intelligent woman of bi-racial ethnicity in a time that did not allow for bending of social norms and roles. Because of these strict societal barriers and her own self-doubt and internal struggle, Helga continually lets herself drown in the quicksand that is her isolationist feelings and life.
A goddess in ancient Mesopotamia is considered a woman who is of the highest ranking and deserves the highest respect to be considered by men (Thompson). Ishtar, the goddess of love and war, has a small, destructive role in the epic. She essentially lets all fire and brimstone loose, which leads to a battle with Enkidu and Gilgamesh, which in turn leads to Enkidu getting the death penalty from the gods, which sends Gilgamesh off to his failed quest for immortality (shmoop). One more
She lives in a male dominance society and environment which caged her and made her lose her freedom. Her desire to escape and her yearning for individual and spiritual freedom come to the surface as she discovers her father’s pair of pistols. Comparing Hedda with the other women of the play we can see that thea wasn’t the woman with the more control. She also had an unhappy marriage because of Eilert’s work. Aunt Julia is different; she likes to help people, she raised George and took care Rina. As far as Berda is concerned, there i...
Aphrodite was the goddess of love in Greece. She was also said to have been the most beautiful of all the Goddesses and to have been born from sea foam. Although she was beautiful, some saw her as treacherous and malicious. She was known to have a bewitching power over men that more times than not brought about their own destruction. Aphrodite also involved herself on several occasions with the affairs of the Gods and Goddesses on Mount Olympus, as well as the Greek mortals. Aphrodite was legendary for her beauty, but she was also very vain. It was her vanity that started the Trojan War. (aphrodite, 2015)
When her past wit LØvborg is brought up the reader sees a different side of Hedda. We can see that with LØvborg she feels comfortable and therefor confident. This can be seen by her willingness to discuss her thought of herself being a coward seen when LØvborg says, “Yes, Hedda, you are a coward at heart. And Hedda replies, ”A terrible coward.” This shows that she think of herself as a coward. She thinks she has no power over anyone and is poor because of her choice to comply with society. She is able to show LØvborg this side of her because he knew her before the change in her life. She knows that he still thinks of her for who she was before Tesman and this is why the audience is shown Hedda’s coward side with LØvborg.
Because she is a Goddess of War, her male Greek counterpart is Ares, who is a God of War. Athena, being the Goddess of the City of Athens, protected the civilized life of Athens. Because she had compassion and generosity for others, she was often praised. The Parthenon served as her temple because she served as Athens guardian. Panathenaea is celebrated every year and it is Athena's most important festival. Along with Hesita and Artemis, Athena is a Virgin Goddess. Athena's nicknames include Hippeia (which means “of the horses”), Hygieia (which means “healer”) and Tritogeneia (which means “third born”). Plato oftened viewed Athena as the Egyptian diety Neith, a war goddess. If a man spies on her naked, she will punish them. It is believed that Athena does have a dark side that is Medusa. She can be intimidating at times, very critical and judgemental when it comes to the weakness of others. Athena is sensitive and and because she doesn't show love or affection, her only wound is her heart. She is more masucline than feminine, but she is beautiful in her own way. When she was a child she always was reading a book, she was curious to seek new information and was always a daddy's girl.As an adult she her own priorites were more important than others, was a devoted and trusted friend and was very rational. In the website Hestia.facts it states ¨Hestia was the goddess of the hearth, home, architecture, domesticity, family, and the state.¨ In addition, Hestia is the goddess of nice things and poseidon is goddess of bad things like earthquakes. This proves, Hestia is better than poseidon because she is more nicer. In the website Hestia.facts it says ¨Each city had a public hearth that was sacred to Hestia the fire kindled there was never allowed to go out.¨ In addition people long ago you could worship Poseidon by going to his temple, which is still an attraction these days. The temple of Poseidon is situated at Cape Sounion it is on a Cliffside a site overlooking the sea. Some sailors would drown horses as sacrifices to worship Poseidon. You could also pray to him and read Paeans or hymns. This proves that the way hestia is worship is calm and nice and the way people worship Poseidon is mean because it says that sometimes sailors would drown horses just to worship Poseidon so that means Hestia is way better and way better to worship. In conclusion, Hestia is a better god for many
As expected, my professional identity will affect how I approach my work with Betty. As I operate via a wellness paradigm, my work with Betty will be multifaceted with a focus on physical, mental and spiritual health in favor of treatment based solely on her diagnosis. Moreover, I will focus a great deal of attention on the development of a positive counselor-client relationship as I believe that a supportive and nurturing environment is the basis for successful therapeutic outcomes.
