Going through the pages of my readings, they helped me to think systematically and put things in proper perspective.
I have observed that many Christians do not really have a concrete understanding of what “faith in God” truly means that they do not experience God’s presence meaningfully. In the church of Jesus within our midst, GGCC Japan, I have recognized that most of the believers mistakenly associated and applied their “faith” to attending the church for worship, saying a prayer and doing good to please God. Their lack of sound understanding concerning this

Hebrews 11:1-11 communicates the practice of faith that is pleasing and acceptable to

In Dynamics of Faith, Paul Tillich redefines faith as the dynamic state of being ultimately concerned about some object that is perceived as being “ultimate.” An ultimate concern demands everything, even including ones most valuable possessions and their moral values, but in return promises everything including total fulfillment, salvation, etc. He goes on to explain symbols of faith, their meaning and their characteristics.
Covenant according in bible's point of view is a promise made by God to man. According to the book of Genesis, Chapter 6 Verse 13, as a result of human's disobedient and evil ways on earth, God had planned to put an end to humanity with flood. The covenants between God and Noah was established in Genesis Chapter 9 Verse 11. God promised Noah and his descendants, never again would he destroy the earth by flood of water because of the pleasant sacrifice offered to God by Noah. God also confirmed his covenant by putting up signs in the sky in the form of a rainbow. The reason Noah and his family weren’t destroyed in the flood was because Noah found grace in God's sight. What this means is that God do not establish any kind of covenant with just anyone. Clearly Abel, Noah and Abraham were unshakable, upright and obedient towards God’s command.
(II Corinthians 5: 7) Farming is hard work and all farmers are proud when they are blessed with a good harvest. No doubt, Cain expected that all the hard work, care and time that went into his offering would make it acceptable. This is evident from his reaction to the Lord’s rejection. Cain’s sacrifice was not rejected because he did not worship in earnest. Indications are that Cain was sincere; nonetheless, he did not worship by faith which comes by hearing the word of God. He worshipped according to his feelings by changing, adding and subtracting from God’s Word; however, his feelings were wrong and he violated God’s commandments. (Deuteronomy 4:2)
The book of Genesis focuses on six persons and their families: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. God blessed man and all of his creations. For a moment, God’s creation was as He intended: paradise. Man sinned and God became unhappy, but he still provided for his people. God wants man to repent.
“The Lord saw that the wickedness of humankind was great in the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that he had made humankind on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the lord said, ‘I will blot out from the earth the human beings I have created-people together with animals and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.’ But Noah found favor in the sight of the Lord.”(Genesis 6:5-8)
(II Corinthians 5: 7) Farming is difficult and all farmers are proud when they are blessed with an exceptional harvest. (Deuteronomy
There came a day when Cain and Abel both went to make an offering unto Jehovah; Abel made an offering from his flocks while Cain made an offering from the first fruits of his harvest. Cain’s offering was rejected by Jehovah, Cain became jealous of Abel and his favor with Jehovah. In a jealous rage Cain slew Abel.
If as believers we fail to completely trust the Word of God and form our life under its direction then our witness will become misleading and even confusing. Believer’s effort in diligently understanding, applying and holding full trust to the word of God in all aspects of our life will be instrumental in building our faith. Such a faith will elevate us to enable us rise above the unrelenting wave of our culture’s non-biblical ideologies. Biblical worldview is very important in order to develop a life, which can be emulated by others in diligence, integrity and honesty in the modern society (Tackett, 2014).
The book of Hebrews is a unique portion of the Bible because it is written as though it were a letter, directed at people the writer may have known. However, the book targets a seemingly broad audience of those without faith and also those that could be described as believers that have experienced persecution. A salient message within Hebrews is that people must persevere when they feel persecuted because Jesus Christ is their salvation, regardless of anything else that is happening in the people’s lives. An emphasis on the greatness of Jesus and his role as a mediator between God and those on Earth is dominant throughout the chapters and verses.
Summary of Method – The method that I choose was “Four Spiritual Laws.” The basic summary of this method of evangelism is there are four simple and straight forward points that evangelist must present in order to reach the person who is being evangelized. In other words, these four laws are constant and are needed in order to understand the Gospel and salvation. These laws include: God loves you, man is sinful and separated from God, Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin, and we must individually receive Jesus as Savior and Lord.
The website illustrates Noah as the faithful covenant man who received the covenant from God that grace, redemption and restoration will be maintained in his family. Jesus conditions for Covenant were everyday spiritual fellowship with God, living a blameless life among the fellow human beings. Website #2
As we search the word of God with passion and earnestly, the Holy Spirit will illuminate us, so we can grasp his will in our life “until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13).
To obtain such faith God instituted the office of preaching, giving the gospel and the sacraments. Through these, as through means, he gives the Holy Spirit who produces faith, where and when he wills, in those who hear the gospel. It teaches that we have a gracious God, not through our own merit but through Christ’s merit, when we so believe.
