professional. Healthcare tends to be a very stressful job and it therefore requires that a person who is emotionally stable. For instance, a healthcare professional is often exposed to seeing many traumatic situations such as: a joyful birth, a painful and catastrophic injury, a suffering or dying patient among others. By being emotionally stable a excellent health professional would be able to deal with such situations so that they do not internalize the stress that comes from seeing such incidents therefore preventing it from causing any personal harm into their lives. This requires a healthcare professional to put themselves in the shoes of the patient or a family member in order to emphasize with the situation they are going through. However, emotional stability should help the healthcare professional not to empathize with patient and their families to the point of internalize others’ emotional as well as physical pain therefore causing personal harm into their lives. In the medical profession, sometimes the difference between life and death can be defined by small or very tiny details. In addition, several things like assessment, procedures, medication and documentation are dependent on very specific and accurate information where there are very little margins for error. Organization enhances orientation to detail such that an organized health care professional is likely to have a high orientation to details and very little margins for errors.
