These situations are not varied by the sport either, you would think that the less aggressive sports wouldn’t be involved in these types of circumstances. There are many different investigations of situations that have been reported such as auto racing, baseball, horse racing, powder puff football, soccer and track and field. The severity of these activities range from one occurrence to close to thirty five. Sports like football and basketball which are considerably popular have the most incidences compared to the other sports. The traditions of the sports have made in the focal point, of the attention grabbing numbers. It has led administrators and athletic directors to take a significantly detailed look at hazing rituals on their campuses. Traditional hazing might have been observed at by administrators a few years ago as children just having fun however nowadays there is no room for undertakings that damage or offend anyone. Harsh rules are in place to discipline student-athletes involved in hazing students and student-athletes. On the other hand coaches essentially need to be practical to not only defend their own coaching careers in spite of guaranteeing the well-being and comfort of those they coach. The many physical and mental effects that are involved can serve as an issue for the individuals enduring the pain. More importantly the sanctioning of the hazers is taken into consideration because it provides an opening for similar situations to occur. Being able to crack down on these reoccurring hazing incidents is what is going to beneficial to the programs. The attraction of group membership serves as a difference maker between the experiments and commonly practiced hazing. The variances involve of the significance of the role veteran players had in the hazing efforts to younger players, the acceptance of affiliation through the accomplishment of completing the hazing incident, and the group membership being unattractive and unrewarding. In conclusion it seems that hazing in sport is not practiced but is being seen as a rewarding tool to enhance the horrid behaviors to attract other individuals. The embarrassment of the individuals involved will never fully be understood, however making sure that they receive the justice in their wrongdoings will be an advantage for them.
