It was an average July day.The birds were chirping, the bees were buzzing, it was as hot as the Sahara desert because the sun was shining brightly, as usual. To escape the sweltering heat my family decided to go to the beach and boat on Lake Michigan.I was so exicited!I couldn’t wait to swim in the cool, rejuvenating water.I couldn’t wait to boat with the calm, soothing tides, rocking our boat like it is a cradle.
By the time we got to the beach, I couldn’t take it anymore.I ran down the beach and plunged into the water. It felt just how i thoght it would feel.I ran back onto the beach and sat down on my beach towel to sunbathe. After a few minutes, me and my loving parents decided to take a walk along the beach. As we were walking, I saw my best friend Ashlee sitting on her beach towel!

”You came to the beach today?”Ashlee said, confusion in her voice.”Yea, what a coincidence!”I replied.”That reminds me, do you.. Want to go boating with us on Lake Michigan?” “YES!!!!”Ashlee screamed.”I’m so excited!” “Well let’s get to it than.”My mom said.As we got on the boat, my dad loaded up some scuba gear.”What do we need that for?”I said. “I thought that because you guys both learned how to scuba dive, I thought that you and Ashlee could dive together.”REALLY!”
Ashlee and I said at the same time.”THAT'S SO EXCITING!!!”We climbed into the little motor boat and sped off, onto Lake Michigan. When we got to the middle of the Lake, we were already unpacking the gear.Ashlee and I had to swim together so one of us did not get lost or hurt.We put on our gear at the same speed so that one of us wouldn’t overheat in their suit waiting for the other to finish getting theirs on.We plunged into the cold, Blue lakewater.Even though the water felt like it was freezing out in the deeper water, Ashlee and I were still having the time of our lives. We started making the long swim down to the bottom of the
The cool water felt very refreshing on a warm spring day; however, anything over 50 degrees felt warm to our family who had traveled from the icy Idaho weather. My dad and we five kids waded out to where the water reached my belly button. My mom stayed on the beach. Those of us in the water splashed each other, at moments sucking in some of the salt water. To me, it tasted as if someone had poured gallons of table
As my family and I sped along the coast, the sour smell of sulfur vents and sea salt pungently gusted through my nostrils. My clothes were damp from the constant spray of seawater. My sense of balance was overcome by the sequential hop from wave to wave and – combined with the
...as hurriedly approaching my toes. I clinched my toes deeper in the sand to prepare myself to get annihilated by the wave’s white water. But, of course, it was just the familiar feeling of the cool rush between my feet as they sunk deeper into the sand. Scanning the water vigorously, I tippy toed my way out into bottomless ocean. Remembering the feeling of the tingle and than burn, I peered back to see my beach chair waiting for me in the scorching sun. While I contemplated turning around and heading back to my safe place. I continued on. I continued to walk forward. I did not stop once the water passed my waist. I would not let the phobia of jellyfish hold me back from the once place I loved the most. As the water washed over the tips of my hair, warm memories of my past fled into my mind. I let my once again peach colored toes disappear deeper into the blue water.
“So tell us, how’ve you been in these last 4 years.” “I’ve been good, it’s a little tough, but I’m getting there.” “So Aiden, tell us, what happened 4 years ago on April 15” I was the only one awake in my house as my wife, Vanessa, and my daughter, Amanda, were still sound asleep after a long night last night. As I was cleaning, I found a flyer that allows you to sign up for this year’s marathon. Disappointed, I put it back and made a mental note to ask Vanessa about
“Yep,” I said, not very confidently. I watched as the boat skidded over the water and suddenly came to a stop. I sat in the boat as the waves rocked it up and down. I thought, better get this done quick.
Finally, the boat slid slowly to the water’s surface and my terrified family all raced to the side to get out as soon as possible. (I was the last one out due to the fact that my engine had died). The employees were left speechless. The one employee was so awed by the previous chaos, he almost forgot to open the gate and allow us to escape the horror of the bumper boats.
It was 98 degrees outside that day at Six Flags Over Texas. The sun was beating down on us. Waiting in a 45 minute line was the last thing I wanted to do. After receiving so much heat from the sun, we finally decide to get wet. We went on the Aquaman, and luckily the line was short. When I got off the ride, I felt better. My hair was wet and there was finally a cool breeze.
Carine: Mom, can I please go on the camping trip with Hazel? The idea of the trip is to learn more about each other and become ever closer friends. Mom: I know you really want to go, but it isn't safe out there in the mountains. You need to hike for a lengthy time to get to the top.
After we ate and finished up, we headed over to the sweet shop that we saw earlier. We walked in and I got candy for the side but a huge chocolate covered banana with nuts on top. Everyone else got ice cream and a banana split. We headed back to the hotel and we all watched a movie about four girls that went to greece without their parents. Of course they were older but they weren't that much older so I said, “Why don't we go to Greece for Two days. I have family that lives there and Katelyn has enough money to take us”. “I would love to go. We could go to Athens and Chania because I heard that they are really pretty and we learned about them in history” she said excitedly. “I don't want to go that far without my parents” Cici and April said at the same time. “You will be fine because look how far you are from your parents right now” Maddy said. “Ok” they both
Other than my mom, dad, and brother, there were a couple of strangers who came along for the ride. After we stepped out of the window-less Jeep, we did circles, taking everything in. The man who took us through the river was doing the whole safety spiel, which I didn’t pay attention to; who does pay attention anyway? After we changed into our bathing suits, we each climbed, one after another, into the water. It was surprising warm, and it felt good in the humid September air.
Davie’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she turned, running up the steps, and out of the water with me not trailing far behind. I watched as she approached the 3ft edge of the poolside and jumped into the water. I was about to do the same, when I heard my name called from the shaded picnic tables next to the pool.
The smoke was choking me. I could see a faint outline of a face across the deck. It was Tom, my lifelong friend and companion. He was completely surrounded by the bright flames."Tom are you OK!!""Yeah, but the fire has me surrounded!""Tom jump overboard, hurry!""But....but....""Do it quick, hurry!"I hit the surprisingly cold water with a crash.
The sun is radiant and scorching, as always when it’s August in Michigan, while the lake water is warm with occasional ripples flowing through as the wind subtly blows over. I’ve got my giant pink floaty around my waist with my ridiculously large bug-eyed sunglasses around my face and I’m ready to set myself afloat into the water. As I float on my raft into the warm water I close my eyes while the waves relax me into a soft slumber as I drift into the middle of lake. Without knowing how much time has passed, I awaken to the sound of Alicia’s mom yelling my name and automatically panic,
As I walked down the worn dirt path to the ocean, I was astonished by how many people were lounging by the water.. As I got closer to the water’s edge, I contemplated why more people don 't swim and decide to tan in the sun instead. The feeling of being alone with the ocean and my thoughts played in my mind.
This lukewarm water was deceiving though, because it only seemed lukewarm due to the drop in temperature and misty rainfall. The waves were rushing toward me like a bull to a matador’s red flag. My mouth tasted as if someone dumped a whole shaker of salt on my tongue. The wave pushed my further and faster as it I could feel the wave breaking on my body and there I was back at the shallows again floating in with the white wash and was ready for another wave. As I stood back up and ran back out to the deep water I saw one of my surfing mates catch the most perfect barrel it was rad. It would have been a great snap shot. I caught another wave, this one was even bigger. The thrust of the wave was twisting my body and I was pulled towards the sea
