On Halloween night in 2007 a tragic event occurred, a few students from Get Lost High attended a halloween party and their lives were changed forever. It all started four days earlier when Meghan Barnes a fiery redhead, captain of the swimming team decided to throw a Halloween bash at her lake house in Lake Charles. Her boyfriend, Luke Closterman, is a 6’4’’ brown haired, green eyed varsity basketball player. They have been together for two years since they first saw each other in Freshman Orientation. Everyone at school knows them as the “IT” couple and Meghan believes everyone wants to be her, but in all reality everyone “HATES” her but somehow still long to be around her. Especially Ingrid Granger, future Valedictorian, antisocial raving beauty with black hair, hazel eyes, and curves like Beyonce. The following day at school Meghan and Luke were making out in the hallway when Daisy Williams her dumb sidekick came marching along with her boyfriend Brian Callaghan. She was fixing her red lipstick while Brian was texting Alexa (Brian’s Side Chick) Just as Meghan and Luke were done sucking each others faces off the bell rung, they parted and went their separate ways. Meghan walked into her classroom were Mr. Pitts welcomed her and asked her to take her seat. …show more content…

I can’t allow that to happen, I won’t allow it! swim team is my thing it’s who I am.” “I’m not going to just hand it over to some Bloody Englishman to Tickle Newks fancy,” in her best English accent.” I’ve got it, She yelled out. The Halloween party we’ll invite him and scare him so he won’t challenge me. The next two days went by without a hitch. Luke and Meghan buddied up to Charles took him under their deceitful wing. Invited him to the party and even offer to let him ride with
In the film, “Halloween”, directed by John Carpenter, an outstanding work of art has been created with respect to the ‘on the edge of your seat’ thriller that has been conveyed in the film. Mise-en- scene is incorporated in many different facets throughout the film and has creatively developed the scenes that makeup the thriller and deliver an objective of tone, mood, and scary elements. Mise-en- scene sets up the setting in the film as the director has an objective to deliver a scary, dark scene that keeps the audience on their feet. Initially in the film, there is a unique introduction of a quiet town that leads up to believe there is no horror involved in the area. This unique set up by the director gives us the preamble that the

When I learned that I would have to do my ethnographic report on what I did during Halloween, I was worried because I live in Turnpike and the most excitement that happens in turnpike is the sound of the garbage truck when it comes to pick up the Wednesday trash. Fortunately something did happen to me and I realized I would not have to write a boring paper of how I woke up and just stayed in my room the whole day. Well the day started off with me waking up and walking to the bathroom to take a shower, as soon as the turned the water on I realized I had left my shower and rather than turning off my shower I stayed in because the warmth of the hot water was too seductive for me to get out and get my towel. In the shower I had my usual thoughts about life, death, and comebacks to old arguments. Afterword I got out of my shower and reached for my toothbrush, which was located in a cupboard behind the toilet, but I grabbed at it too quickly and it fell in the toilet. I stood over my toilet for about five minutes just staring at my toothbrush in the toilet not believing what just happened, after that I started blaming myself for being too impatient. When I was done feeling sorry for myself I went into my room in search of another toothbrush but unluckily I couldn’t find one, so I had to go walk to the local store at around 7:30 in search of a toothbrush. While searching for a replacement toothbrush I realized that not that many people were in the store, I had always thought that stores were busiest in the morning and evening but apparently that’s not true. Once I got my new toothbrush I finished brushing, got dressed and went to catch the 11 to the Transit Center.

Exhausted from all the fame, Kaitlin realizes that there is more to life than just being a famous actor, so she comes up with a plan to take a break from her Hollywood life, even if it could mean career suicide. She changes her name to Rachel Rogers and attends the same high school with her best friend Liz. She adjusts herself to a normal teenage life and ends up meeting a boy Austin who she ends up falling in love with. Just as her fantasy life as a normal teenager is starting to settle she’s faced with problems as rumors start to hit the tabloids and Kaitlin is forced to make a decision, either stay with her true friends and live a normal life or peruse her acting career in Hollywood.
How the Opening Sequence of Halloween Captures the Attention of the Audience ' 'Halloween' was made in 1978 and is a good example of the 'Slasher' movies from that time and this is an interesting piece of cinema as it can be related to the German expressionism of the late 1920's which used jerky camera shots and high contrast lighting to enthrall the viewer .In this essay I will discuss how the opening to Halloween captures the audiences attention and how codes and conventions create suspense and tension for the audience.
What would you do if you found out that your sister had mailed out your secret love letters to all of your past crushes and suddenly they’re all comforting you for it? That’s exactly what Lara Jean experienced in Jenny Han’s young adult novel To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. The setting of the story takes place in modern time in Montpelier, Virginia and there it mentions their school, home, ski resort, etc. The main characters in this book are Lara Jean, Peter, Kitty, Josh and Margot. LJ is our antisocial goody-two-shoes protagonist who’s “cute in a quirky way.” She’s the exactly the type of person to spend time at home baking with her family than going to the party, that everyone’s been raving about. Peter is described as popular, cocky,

At first, she struggles with accepting herself. She kisses her best friend Irene when she was twelve, then questions whether or not there is something wrong with her. Without her parents to assure her that her feelings are not a “sickness” or “sin” like she believes they are, she constantly feels guilty about every encounter with another girl she has (99). After a while, she realizes that there is nothing wrong with her, and she begins to embrace her sexuality. She develops a crush on her friend Coley, and word gets around school without Cameron knowing. She is talking to her friend Jamie at prom, and the topic of her sexuality and what people think came up. Cameron worries that everyone is being judgemental, so she talks to her prom date Jamie about it. Instead of being supportive, Jamie tells Cameron to “keep on with the Coley Taylor think awhile longer and see what happens,” illustrating that Jamie feels as if Cameron’s crush is stirring up drama (155). At this point, Cameron realizes that although she may have learned to accept herself, others have not. Her friends and classmates are very judgemental, and they tend to talk about her behind her back. Cameron’s problems are made worse when
High school is one of the most memorable times in a person’s life. For some those memories are full with excitement, happiness, and joy. For others it ends up being a stressful and a hormonal rollercoaster of a nightmare that they wish they could forget. And of course, there are always those stuck in between, who just float on by through their 4 years, whether going unnoticed or just sticking close to the shadows instead of the limelight. This dynamic can be broken down between social classes within the high school scenes, using jocks, class clowns, trouble makers, and the Hollywood favorite, geeks. Movies such as Revenge of the Nerds, the Social Network, and Super Bad have shed light on these clever misfits who make you question the amount of attention we all gave them during school. For this essay I will analyze the social class within the movie Super Bad and describe what high school was like for the “Super” trio of Seth, Evan, and, Fogell, through the focus of 3 main lenses: Friends; Social Experience; and Sexual Experience.
