Have you ever wanted to create your own webpage to show out your business, hobbies or just yourself? Well in order to make a webpage, you need to have knowledge on HyperText Markup Language, or HTML for short. It is a text code that makes visible the information the user wants to put onto a web page. I’m going to explain the concept and development, the process, and the impact it has on today’s world. But to start off the bottom picture is an example of what HTML appears now. HTML was developed in the 1980’s by Tim Berners-Lee as simply a system to share documents within his company at CERN. He then came up with the idea of a hypertext, a text shown on a computer screen or any type of electronic device, on the internet to simplify things more. HTML was then officially made in the early 1990s. At the time Berners considered it to be an application of SGML which stands for Standard Generalized Markup Language and was defined as that in 1993 by the Internet Engineering Task Force. When released, it was publicly known as HTML Tags. It contained almost 20 elements that were in the origi...
William Golding , the author of The Lord of the flies believes that evil resides in all human beings. The Lord of the Flies begins softly but nearing the end everything turns upside down. But would the world be the same way it is today without societal structure and rules? Only through societal structure, rules and order will humans be thought morality/principal and proper behaviour. The Lord of the Flies demonstrates what society would look like/resort to without any rules or guidance for man to follow. Others might believe this is true because of natural evil and actions done by individuals, a comparison through savagery and civilization, and certain truths in the world that are evil.
...-established outcomes or only a few to choose from. I believe using hypertext as a medium for writing can only increase the importance placed on the reading, not lesson it. The information from Bolter, Murray, and what I have gained from evaluating Ball’s web site has helped me to become better aware of different aspects of hypertext, and what I will and will not use when creating my own webpage.
The Wireless Markup Language (WML) is used to create pages that can be delivered using WAP. WML is a language that allows the text portions of Web pages to be presented on cellular telephones and personal digital assistants (PDAs) via wireless access. WML is part of the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) that is being proposed by several vendors to standards bodies. The Wireless Application Protocol works on top of standard data link protocols, such as Global System for Mobile communication, code-division multiple access, and Time Division Multiple Access, and provides a complete set of network communication programs comparable to and supportive of the Internet set of

The desolate and chaotic conditions of the society can have a significant amount of influence on the development on a certain character of a novel. For instance, at the time the novel, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky was written, the conditions of the setting, was very chaotic and was in turmoil. Crime and Punishment took place in Russia, where Russia during the time Crime and Punishment was written was suffering due to economical downfalls and failure of the poor reforms of Tsar Alexander II; ultimately transforming Russia into a poverty-stricken country. The failure of Alexander’s reforms affected much of setting in which Crime and Punishment was written in, which ultimately contributed in character development of Raskolinokov. This is evident through the use of metaphor, which Dostoevsky uses to compare the state of the country to Raskolinkov’s apartment.
Any user that ventures unto a specific website seeks explicit information, and if that user is unable to find said information, that user is more likely to leave the site and find a site more accommodating to his/her needs. It is the function of the navigation menu to aid users in locating what material is being sought. According to Eccher (2015, p.70), usability and maintainability are two important concerns when creating the navigation menus of a website and that the menu is a key element of effective website design (Eccher, 2015, p. 70). Usability as it relates to navigation bars will be discussed below, while maintainability will be addressed not only as it applies to navigating a website, but also as it relates to keeping website current for users to able to navigate the site.
Hypertext affords the user the ability to make decisions based on where he or she intends or needs to go, and to decide what information or images to process and what to disregard as opposed to what the author intends. The user is free to move around from link to link while constantly making decisions about what he wants to explore and what he deems unnecessary in his search; there is no correct path, rather all paths are relative to each individual user to what his preferences are.
Excellent essays get results. A well-written essay can earn you a scholarship or entrance into your favorite college. Many essays win contests and prizes and encourage others to live better lives. Well written essays turn the hearts of the people. Early America was motivated to fight for freedom from England because of the writings of Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson. Your well-written essays might be printed in newspapers and make a positive impact in the lives of others. You can change cold hearts and encourage fellow believers by your written words.
“Parents play an important role in the psychosocial development and well-being of their children” (van den Eijnden). Undeniably, the quote makes a bold declaration that all parents in today’s technologically advanced society should understand and follow. With 90% of teenagers between the ages of 12 and 15 using the internet (Sorbring), it is important for an adult to monitor their daily usage and behavior. “Only 39 percent of parents report using parental controls for blocking, filtering, or monitoring their teenager’s online activities” (Dell’anotnia). Parents should monitor their teenagers’ daily internet use and behavior by engaging in meaningful conversations and dialogue that allow for fostering a healthy relationship.
When you log onto the Internet using Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, or some other browser, you are viewing documents on the World Wide Web. The current foundation on which the WWW functions is the programming language called HTML. It is HTML and other programming embedded within HTML that make possible Hypertext.
The last step in building a web page is the conversion from plane text and graphics to HTML code. All elements that make up the web pages are then to be combined graphics, plain text, even tables. The combined elements are then converted from plane text into HTML code. The easiest way to accomplish this daunting task if you have no prior experience of HTML programming is by using a computer program that is designed for the purpose of converting text, graphics, and other objects into HTML, such as Cute HTML, Trelix Web, or Netscape Composer.
Overall, the main language is used for modern webpages are the HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and CSS (Cascade Style Sheet.) Both of these languages are important in web design. Learning how to use these two languages will make it easy for the development team to build, design, and develop a website. What we mentioned above was the basics of web designing, which a brief summary of the basics of codes to design a webpage. This topic covers a lot of information after getting used to typing the codes; it will get easier for the designer to use both of the languages.

... all ages do not know how to write in cursive anymore. Some students may not know how to sign their name in cursive since it wont be taught anymore. One thing that many people worry about with digital learning is that students will spend too much time in front of a screen and keyboard. It is believed that these kids will have less of a social life and will be less likely to communicate through talking, but choosing to communicate through online messaging and texting. Though students have a variety of information at their finger tips, this can cause temptation for students to plagiarize. Devices such as iPads and laptops are useful learning tools, but at the same time they can be a huge source of distractions. While students should be taking notes, they could be browsing the web, updating social media sites, watching videos, playing games or other distracting things.
Online learning, also known as distance learning or online learning, has become a new and successful means of receiving an education in a highly technologically enhanced environment (Regan, Evmenova, Baker, Jerome, Spencer, Lawson, & Werner, 2012). Kaymak and Horzum (2013) defined online learning as using Internet technology to gain knowledge and skills through the use of synchronous and asynchronous learning tools. Allen and Seaman (2013) stated that about 6.7 million students attending colleges and universities across the United States were successfully enrolled in at least one online course in 2011. There is an increased interest in online learning that continues to grow as a result of the amplified demands from the work place and the escalating availability of nontraditional educational options and providers (Allen & Seaman, 2008).
