Your immune system is used to fight bacteria and viruses and it helps to keep you healthy. Sometimes your immune system can develop lymph and immune system disorders. What happens is your immune system can become over active or it can become weak chancing your bodies response to bacteria and viruses. If you are born with an immunodeficiency disorder it is called primary immunodeficiency if you develop it later in life it is called acquired immunodeficiency (UOR Medical Center, 2014). When the immune system over reacts it will start to attack and produce antibodies, which results in damaging its own tissues. With an immune system that under reacts it is unable to fight things that enter the body, which leads to more infections. Some kinds of lymph and immune system conditions are lymphoma, mononucleosis, edema, allergic reactions, HIV, anaphylaxis. Etiology Lymph and immune system conditions can be heredity. If someone in their family has had a certain lymph or immune condition the chances of a child getting it are higher. Age is also another way that a lymph or immune system condition develops. Usually the condition will develop within childhood or the teenage years. The environment that you live in can also affect your chances of developing a lymph or immune system condition. The environment you are living in can trigger certain conditions. Gender also can play a role in lymph or immune system conditions females in their 20s are more likely to developing a condition then males (Fleet, 2013) Signs and symptoms Signs and symptoms that can occur with having a lymph or immune system condition are if you are unable to fight infections or illnesses and if that illness or infection re-occurs, fatigue that is constant and doesn... ... middle of paper ... ...nd Disorders. The B cells, T cells, Macrophage, and Antibodies are all a very large part of the immune system. There are two types of T cells, killer and helper T cells. Killer T cells find and destroy cells infected with bacteria, and helper T cells control the activity of other cells in the immune system. Then, B cells are considered the “clean up crew,” attacking any bacteria or viruses the T cell left behind. They also make antibodies, which are essential for trapping invading viruses and

The job of the immune system is to keep “foreign” invaders out of the body, or if one gets in, to seek it out and kill it. These foreign invaders are called pathogens, which are tiny organisms that can cause an infection in the body. Pathogens can be bacteria, parasites, and fungi (http://www.niaid.nih.gov/topics/immuneSystem/pages/whatisimmunesystem.aspx).

One of the most common mysteries in the world is the development of autoimmune diseases. An autoimmune disease is when the immune system, which usually keeps your body healthy thinks that your healthy cells are antigens and attacks them. This is irony right? It is against properties of evolution for an immune system to attack itself causing sickness and possibly death if untreated. There are about 80 different types of autoimmune diseases, which usually have periods of little to no symptoms and worsening symptoms. What particularly creates confusion in the world is the autoimmune disease, inflammatory bowel disease, which affects almost about five million people worldwide.
