A group exists when two or more people define themselves as member of it and when its existence is recognized by at least one other. (Rupert Brown 1988). The group is a collection of individuals they accept the common task and their interdependent in their performance to promote its accomplishment through interaction with one another. On the other hands group behavior originate from the grounds that contribute to the group’s efficiency. Other groups interconnect with groups function they expand their own exclusive set of uniqueness they also develop group structure in which they have cohesiveness, role, norms and process. Group may participate with other groups when groups are work together, and inter group competition which is also built the conflict. Group behavior has been a subject of considerable study in mid 20th century (Alford, 1994; Brown, 2001; Hogg, 2000). We describe the group development we found that group dynamics consists of a set of technique which is related to the internal nature of the group. Significant goals and developing events early in the group’s life is very helpful. Group size should be in-between 5 to 7 members that are the best elements of both small and large groups. Stages of groups development is Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing.
Forming is the first stage when we try to build the group, which is characterizing by a lot improbability. In this level, we are switching from individual behavior to group behavior. A group is define as two or more individual, interacting and interdependent who are initially coming together to achieve particular objectives (Stephen P.Robbins, Timothy A.Judge, 2014). There are two types of group which are formal group and informal group (Stephen P.Robbins, Timothy A.Judge, 2014). Group can bring a lot of advantages to all the group members. For instance, work as a group is able to generate positive synergy through coordinated effort that allows organization to increase performance.

Topics explored with this group included; conversational skills, internet safety, bullying, conflict resolution, social media, and personal appearance. Accordingly, I was able to gain insight on how to plan activities tailored to the needs of the group as well as obtain tips on conducting groups effectively. Additionally, I was able to get a sense of the group dynamics, attain knowledge on the stages of a group through observing all the individuals belonging to the group, their uniqueness and how their personality impacted the group itself. A recent article with regards to leadership discussed the topic of group cohesion and how this is a factor for success. The article discussed several situations, one about a business company, one about a sports team and one about a military operation. The article closely analyzed the leaders of the three situations and discussed the similarities and differences between the three. The main similarity between was there focus on cohesion. According to Toseland and Rivas (2005), group dynamics are “the forces that result from the interactions of group members” (p. 64). These forces refer to either the negative or positive influences towards meeting members’ socioemotional needs as well as goal attainment within a group (Toseland & Rivas, 2005), like within my class work group experience.
