The concept of Green Chemistry helps scientists utilize materials found here on Earth to better improve our environment from an internal decadence. With the exponentially increasing number of the human population there creates an enormous strain of the use of our natural resources, which thereby requires a need to produce an alternate source, either through chemical, or machinery means, which then leaks problems, such as pollution, into our environment. However, using the concepts of Green Chemistry, which includes, enhanced atom productivity, and the usage of non-renewable resources along with many others, scientists can better neutralize the damaging effects of pollution in our environment. The publisher of this book is Tarcher Putnam, the book was published in Canada on 2003 with 17 chapters (hey the number match the title of the book!) and a total of 378 pages. The genre of this book is nonfiction. “Napoleon's Buttons” contain a fascinating story of seventeen groups of molecules that have greatly changed the course of history and continuing affect the world we live in today. It also reveal the astonishing chemical connection among some unrelated events, for example: Chemistry caused New Amsterdamers to be renamed New Yorkers and one little accident of detonating cotton apron in a minor housekeeping mishap lead to the development of modern explosives and the founding of the movie industry.

Introduction: The purpose of this lab was to cycle solid copper through a series of chemical forms and return it to its original form. A specific quantity of copper undergoes many types of reactions and goes through its whole cycle, then returns to its solid copper to be weighted. Green Chemistry started after the Pollution Prevention Act of 1990 was passed. The growing demand for the production of such goods and the various constraints involved has motivated me to help provide the world with processes and techniques which are not only more efficient and affordable but also sustainable. We find new ways to provide light and heat our homes, cook our food, and pursue in crafts that benefit our society. There are, however, just as there are advantages, disadvantages to the efficiency of controlling the rate of reactions, which in some cases can be fatal to our scientific development and progression.
