Google is surpassing the search engine industry rapidly. Google creators Larry Page and Sergey Brin could not imagine 8 years ago that they would dominate the search tool industry. Google’s dominance has set the standards for all their competitors to emulate. For Google to continue the dominance, they must create a successful marketing strategy and must be to implement their plan effectively. To compete in this the global technology world, Google must evolve through innovation and adaptation to their audience.
To do this, Google must start with implementation, strategic control, and contingency plans. According to Pearce & Robinson, 2011 “Implementation is “where the action is.” It is the arena that most students enter at the start of their business careers. It is the strategic phase in which staying close to the customer, achieving competitive advantage, and pursuing excellence become realities.”
Implementation/Objective Plan
According to Google’s website, “Google’s mission is to organize the worlds’ information and make it universally assessable useful.” To implement this objective, has to concentrate on increasing their employee base. By expanding their workforce, they will be prepared for the upcoming growth in this industry. The next goal is to become more prominent in the international market. Through expansion and innovation, this will help enter the international market. The next goal is to utilize their employee base to help deliver new advertising and products.

Google must create accurate periods and goals for milestones evaluations will be substantial since Google is expanding at such a rapid pace and lacks the experience to handle such growth as their partners Time Warner/AOL. It is very essential that Google choose the correct monitoring systems will be crucial to the sustainability of Google’s success.
To continue their dominance against yahoo and Microsoft, they most dedicate themselves by finding the employees that will provide a unique advantage against their competitors. This will help drive loyalty from target market and provide a competitive advantage. Google’s implementation plan can pin point focus on variation on their primary product of search services but provide a competitive edge by providing faster times, greater scalability, and decrease pricing to their advertising consumers.
