First impressions are lasting impressions. Health –care professionals help project a positive image to all people whom they encounter in the medical environment. They play a major role in health care field. Their goal is to make all patients feel a friendly and welcome environment therefore, they greet and welcome patients so that the facility builds a good reputation in patients. Medical receptionists perform professional duties from the front desk that way they can interact with several patients, make several phone calls, answer patient questions within the scope of their practice, schedule new and follow-up appointments, register all new incoming patients and update records if necessary (Lisa Davila, 2010). patients. Girard’s (2011) study further enforces our belief on the importance of a nurse wearing their scrubs by the study’s outcome of “Fifty percent of adult visitors of pediatric patients rated a nurse’s uniform as a very important indicator of nurse professionalism, and only 10% thought it was not important at all.” (p.420) The majority of people placed a higher importance on a nurse’s uniform because it represents the nurse’s professionalism. If a nurse comes into work unprepared and having wrinkles on their uniform then the patient will believe that the nurse can’t take care of them because the nurse can’t take care of themselves.

I know that by doing my job, no matter how different each patient may be, that I have made a difference in someone’s life. I am very content in my job knowing that there is an increasing need in healthcare. With the demand of healthcare today, there will always be a demand for physicians, and with the need of physicians there will always be a need for medical assistants. In this profession the rewards and opportunities will only continue to grow, and there is not a better place to than here in America, because like Ralph Waldo Emerson (journalist, poet, philosopher, and essayist) once said, “America is another name for
Healthcare professionals in the medical office should be friendly and open. Patients entering the medical office should be greeted immediately with a smile and having a gentle touch also let the patient know you care. “Healthcare professionals in a medical office are held to a higher standard than most professions because they are dealing with the dignity of patients and the ability to be healed” (Wolff). Educating the staff to be professional in the medical office represents the office as being excellent in patient care. Patient-centered care success is required by the whole office which is treatment and patient experience, from the time they enter the office until they leave.

Your pet is your friend that needs special care on a daily basis. Your pet should be in good health and needs to learn all the basis etiquettes that you teach him. Unfortunately for some of us, it is not always possible to provide the pet grooming that is needed due to our busy lifestyles. What is the best option that you can use to ensure that your pet gets the essential grooming that he needs? A great solution would be to take your pet to a pet grooming center that provides quality grooming and a place where he will feel happy. When your dog plays with other dogs at the center, he will be more energetic and healthy. Some of the services that are offered at a pet center may consist of training, washing, playing and other fun
Personal grooming habits such as showering, bathing, selecting clothes, dressing, applying make-up and shaving is both time consuming and socially valuable. Wax (1957) defines grooming as the “manipulation of one’s superficial physical structure so as to make a desired impression upon others.” (Wax, 1957, p.588) Time spent on personal grooming is an investment into one’s appearance. Both men and women spent time and money in looking better.
Hygiene by definition, is the things that you do to keep yourself and your surroundings clean in order to maintain good health. The face will be clean-shaven.” This not only makes the Marines look well groomed but makes the Marines look professional and able to handle to tasks at hand. This is one of the Marine Corps ideals, is to look professional at all times, on and off duty 24/7.
