Second, although globalization has severe implications for developing nations, it produces social and economic benefits for developed continents such as North America. 11 Globalization has made it possible for students from other countries to travel to various national and geographic locations in order to receive an education. 11 Canada has an advanced education system, and enrols more students than any other country in the world. 11 Its citizens enable the progression of the schooling system because they value education and have the economic means to support the costly institution, which accumulates $50 billion dollars from Canadian residents each year. 11 Canada welcomes international students, as they promote economic advancement and contribute to their multiculturalism. 11 Students are not only attracted to Canada’s advanced education system, but also its …show more content…

Thus, the wealthy individuals that have access to higher education with further increase their wealth, while the poor individuals that are unable to afford university will remain in poverty. People that hold this view may argue that globalization would increase the class divide between the lower and upper classes. Political scientists that view globalization as beneficial to developed countries may refute this objection by stating that it has allowed teachers from Canada to travel to countries such as South Korea to teach EFL - i.e English as a foreign language, to students that are unable to afford schooling in Canada or are unable to understand the material due to language barriers. 12 These advocates may argue that although poor students do not benefit from being able to attend school in Canada, they still acquire a certain degree of benefits from the occurrence of globalization.
