A big event in my life that definitely had an influence in my maturing is the experience of getting my first official job. Regardless of what that first job may be, we all experience some similar feelings. Responsibility, experience, perseverance, are only a few of them. Personally, I felt the need to impress my manager as much as possible in order to prove that even though he hired an unexperienced worker, he made the right decision. The impression of doing responsibly well, without a doubt, results in a good impression from your supervisors. Thankfully, the work team environment contributed to detonate a fine tuning on my ability to develop my job. This aspect serves as a base not only to earn a higher standing, but to improve a background
I spent two years working on a literary magazine and newsletter, and proved myself enough to grab a higher position my second year. Helping others perform to their fullest with my help is extraordinarily rewarding. These qualities reflected on the two years I spent regularly babysitting after school and on call. Babysitting not only helped me develop my leadership and role model traits, it was also gratifying to know that because I dedicated myself, I was making the lives of parents
... to play baseball for a few hours each week. I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that everyone doesn't love baseball, so I naturally assumed that I was just better than most kids. Of course I woke up to reality a few years later, when I proved that although I was a good player, I was a far cry from being a superstar. It wasn't a crushing defeat however, as my life's aspirations began to change.
Understanding that need for growth both professionally and
I found that some of the examples did not fit but in general I could relate to this as a strength theme. While I find myself sometimes having trouble focusing and waiting until a deadline is right in front of me, I do make sure to get things done. I almost always follow through and on the off chance I cannot, I make sure to make it up to that person one way or another. In these cases, I cannot apologize enough for my mistake and feel terrible about letting them down and not being able to follow through. It is my responsibility to own up to my actions and apologize for failures. Morals and ethics are a big part of this. If I find that something is going on that I cannot morally agree with, I will not support it. I believe in doing what is right at all times in effort to be responsible and a good asset to any team I’m on. Growing up, I had trouble saying no as I wanted to be involved in everything and take care of every task that came my way. I remember my dad telling me that I could be the person who tries all trades but masters none. While I still find myself volunteering for many things, I have learned to double check that I can take on a task or activity and do the best I can without causing trouble with my current involvements. I try to stay responsible by making sure that I don’t overdo it. Responsibility will definitely help me in the future as employers always look to make sure that employees are following guidelines and following through with what they say they will do. Enthusiasm to take responsibility will help me do a great
...m my personal experience of having a boss stand by me; I feel this is an important piece of a good boss. Giving employees credit for great work drives productivity up and self-esteem in employees. Bosses know that mistakes happen, but learning from missteps and blunders is crucial for employees (Wilson, 2011).
Creating a structured environment and opportunities to apply what employee have learned and firmly delegate authority will lead viable outcomes in productivity. Managers utilizing situational leadership will have the platform to change their style to meet the workers’ needs and allow for growth and professional development to meet the operational needs.
As a young boy, I’ve always felt like I needed to fit a standard. I needed to be serious and alchemically efficient. I needed to be a leader in my house when my father wasn’t around. I had to be willing to learn to be resilient. I realized that in order to develop, I must view situations from different perspectives.
The demanding nature of the work has given me an added sense of responsibility but also of pride, fulfilment, and greater appreciation for hard work, ultimately making me more mature and dependable.
People also get respect for the decisions they make. If someone does an astonishing job on something then they get to take the credit and earn the respect for doing this good deed. Lastly, not everyone gets blamed for one mistake. When one person on the team or in a company makes a mistake then they have to take the credit for doing that mess up. This prevents everyone getting a finger pointed at them and everyone taking the blame.
...he workplace. Individuals face many barriers and challenges along the way, however, the development of effective skills such as communication, self-reflection help overcome these. Individuals with positive attitudes are also more likely to succeed as shown through studies as they have greater power of resilience. Intrapersonal perception forms the foundations for success, but it is a better understanding of social interactions that combines with personal perceptions to achieve individual success.
There were many instances in my life that have shaped my values, intellect, and academic or career goals. I was raised by my parents to become a hard worker, independent, and caring young adult. I was taught how to be all these qualities by a combination of experiencing and witnessing them first hand.
By allowing for employees to be increasingly engaged in workplace activities, they are then given the opportunity to develop new skills. Most leaders also encourage for employees to participate in team building activities so that any employee would be more comfortable and have stronger chemistry when working with other members of their respective departments, and with other employees in the company as a whole. Leaders are capable of motivating their subordinates through a series of actions, such as words of encouragement, acts of appreciation, and allowing for employee involvement in key decision making processes in the company. For instance, leaders who appreciate, constantly encourage and assist in the improvement of the tasks performed by their subordinates will be able to build a strong and healthy employer-employee relationship. This good relationship instils the traits of confidence in employees and motivates them to enhance their performance. Excellent leaders commonly try to develop a dialogue or establish open communication with their subordinates. Employees who are well
Which was one of the biggest obstacles of my life. I found that I worked very well with others, and it made me more confident about myself. It made me feel great. I had great ideas, and I even encouraged other people to come out of their shell. I learned that life's short, and you just need to accept yourself for who you are, and live life to the fullest, as best as you can. This to me was a huge significance, because it changed my ways on how i approach certain things now. I'm not afraid of
Well, as I began to get older I started to achieve more and more. When was 8 I started washing dish. That was a great achievement to me back then, but now I regret it.
