Set Me Up

Some coaches might focus on offense. Others might put emphasis on defense. As long as you do either properly, there is no right or wrong philosophy. But wouldn’t it be better if you can do both?
Futsal relies heavily on tactics. Because the playing area is small, your defense and offense have to be tactically sound if you want to increase your chances of winning.
Defenses
In futsal, defense has to be quick and compact. There are no specific futsal positions. The basic defensive formations for futsal are the 2-2 and 3-1 formations.
The 2-2 formation operates as a simple square. The two defenders in front shadow the ball while the two players in the back serves as support. This formation is effective for pressing and is fairly easy to learn.
The 3-1 formation is done by moving horizontally across the court. The top defender presses the ball handler, while the back three players slide to support. If the attacking team gets past the first defender, the central defender in the second row challenges the ball. The right and left defenders fall back behind th...
In a game of touch I would allocate myself to the link position for a couple of reasons. Links are positioned between the middles and wings and require many attributes to performing consistently. The reason why I think I am best suited for this position is because I am able to communicate with my team mates when in defence making sure the team is correctly aligned and no gaps are being created. My lactic acid system performs strongly throughout the game during intensive wrucking of the ball. I am able to generate enough speed, find gaps and apply enthusiasm in order to perform the best of my ability and hopefully scoring a try or setting one up.
In order to see outcomes in this area of improvement, we as coaches must re-evaluate not only our athletes, but, in addition, our coaching styles. Of course, we all want to tell ourselves that we are great coaches and it's the athletes who are not following direction...
The movement pattern of a soccer kick is a proximal to distal motion of the lower leg. Hip activation occurs to begin movement of the thigh through multiple planes. There is a backswing and a forward acceleration by the thigh, shank, and knee extensor. Where the ball ends up (accuracy), and how fast it moves (speed), depends mostly on foot to ball contact (Kellis & Katis, 2007).
Even though football and soccer often share a name, the two sports are vastly different: they both contain their own merits though; each has its own athletes, rules, and fan base. Athletes in both sports are incredibly fit and in control of their bodies although they can differ. In soccer, all positions require speed, agility, and leg dexterity in order to out run their opponent and maneuver the ball while in football the variety of positions require different attributes. Height is only beneficial in soccer for some defenders and mid-fielders in order to gain an advantage to jump for heading while it can act to slow attackers who need speed and quickness above jump height. Speed, in both running and ball control, is required above all else to chase or lose the other team. To wrestle control of the ball from opponents, defenders in soccer must simply be stronger than the lightweight sized attackers. Only goalies need hand-eye coordination while the rest of the team needs only foot finesse. In football the many positions require their own set of needs. Quarterbacks must be tall to see the field over the lineman and have a good arm to throw the ball. Lineman must be as large and strong as possible to block or move the opposing line man. Runningbacks need speed and quickness to out run and dodge while having enough strength to break tackles and hold on to the ball. Receivers are similar except that they also need hand-eye coordination to catch passes and height to outreach the defense. Linebackers must be the most versatile, with strength to take down ball carriers and a combination of speed and coordination to keep up with receivers. Defensive backs need to keep up with receivers to stop passes. Mentally, it is demanded that players...
A proper coaching philosophy contains principles which improve character development, teach step by step tactical and technical skills, form proper progressive physical training regimens, and carefully utilize team management to handle and control problems with administrative issues. A coach with a sound philosophy should mold a team with strong cohesion, and he should treat players not only as teammates, but as family and friends who are encouraged to develop communication and lifelong learning of skills through positive support and role modeling from the coach (Mergelsberg, 14-15). The philosophy should also contain written documents of implemented strategies and techniques, so that the coach will know what to improve upon season by season
In conclusion, football and soccer have their similarities, but these similarities are superficial. There are many fundamental differences, such as the use of one’s hands being illegal in soccer, except for the goalie when he/she is inside his/her respective eighteen-yard boundary. Another example is the alternation of a team’s offense and defense in football as opposed to the simultaneous effort of the offense and defense in soccer. These differences in rules, rituals, and concepts distinguish these two sports from each other. However, there are similarities, such as the fact that both sports allow eleven players on each team to play on the field at a time. Also, the area where one scores is in the same locations in both sports, the end zones of football and the goals of soccer are on opposite sides of the field.
Throughout the world, there are different forms of soccer that vary in Style, Technique and Intensity mainly in South America, Europe, and the United States.
“Football and soccer are mostly similar (in team aspect) with some notable differences (positions and skill set). And they are quite different in their rules’’
Wing have to be in corner and one post player have to be on high post and the other on low post. This play is very simple. Main goal is to have three players in triangle with good spacing. One guard in corner, other guard at the wing and the post player at low post. The best solution is to pass the ball to the low post, and if guard can pass it, post player is playing one on one. While the ball is with post player guards have to interchange positions to confuse defense. After that they have to cut to the basket and maybe get the pass from post player and eventually score. Player are looking for the open man and in this offensive set up there will be a lot of open positions. Almost in every interview about triangle offense Phil Jackson repeats:“ Players have to be confident and they have to take every open shot, also I do not need a selfish player in my squad becouse this offensive set up needs fast ball movement“ . In triangle offense there is a lot of solutions around three hundred forty options in this type of offense. Every player have to look for a pass or a open shot. Holding ball for a more than two seconds will hold up the team, and offense will be slow. If
...ike at the ball. Individual skills are useful only when they fit in with the team. Soccer teams use strategies, and a good player must understand his responsibilities to the team and must use his skills accordingly. Soccer players must learn to think for themselves during games. Since there are no time-outs, they hear from their coaches only at half time - and then only for a few minutes. If adjustments in team strategy are needed during play, the members of the team must know enough to make them by themselves. Each player must be adaptable enough to play both offense and defense, to take the responsibilities of a teammate in certain situations. Every player must be prepared to do everything. Soccer provides a fine balance between individual skills and teamwork. Playing winning soccer requires the cooperative effort of eleven men and the individual skills of each.
Eight-man football is an entertaining and fun sport to watch that resembles many of the same concepts as conventional eleven-man football. It is played in many small towns and smaller private schools around the country. It is a growing sport due to the fact that many small communities are growing even smaller. This is because of the fact that many people are moving out of these small town communities and into the city. Eight-man football is a great way for student athletes and schools to still get the opportunity to play football even though they may come from a smaller community. Even though eight-man football isn’t exactly conventional football it is still fun to watch and play. People who know eight-man football and played it are just as passionate about it as people who have played eleven-man football.
In a soccer game there are two teams of 11 players who try to score a point by kicking a ball into the opponents net. Soccer is played on a rectangular field with a net on each short side of the field. All players must hit the ball with their feet or body and only the goalie is allowed to touch the ball with his/her hands. There are many things you can do to condition yourself to play.
Soccer the most popular sport in the world, since is the sport with more active players with around 270 million athletes. By having registered so many players, it’s not surprising that this sport has more fans than any other sport worldwide. Every team looks for a player that moves the ball, and that creates plays to score. This means a person that pass the ball through the entire game. To pass the ball in a proper way is one of the main skills a player needs to play soccer. Passing the ball, keeps the game going. Without being able to pass the ball accurately to your teammates, more than likely your team won’t be able to score a goal. The key for passing is to keep things simple. This means passing the ball to your nearest teammate that is not marked by an opponent.

Association football is played in agreement with a set of rules known as the ‘Laws of the Game’. The game is played using a sphere-shaped ball of 71 cm circumference known as the ‘football’ or ‘soccer ball’. Two teams of eleven players each participate to get the ball into the other team’s goal, thus scoring a goal. The team that has scored more goals at the end of the game wins. If both teams have scored an equal number of goals then the game is a tie. Each team is controlled by a captain.
