The philosophy of existentialism emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent determining their own development through acts of the will. It consists of concepts such as bad faith, human free will, the belief that human nature is chosen through life choices and worldly desire is futile. To provide fuller understanding and knowledge of this philosophy, I decide to observe my life as if I were an existentialist. I divide my day into morning, afternoon, and evening and apply the concepts of existentialism to each of them. People often consider morning to be the most important part of someone’s day. Luckily, I basically did just that. There was little to no bad faith that goes on during my day at school. Although, some kids seem to live in bad faith when the teacher forces them to do their homework when they choose not to. The first class I attend is Calculus. She wrote down notes and gave us to option to write them in our notebooks. I, of course, chose to take notes because I want all the practice I can get in calculus. I then had the option to work on my homework, but I chose not to because I strongly dislike doing my homework. The next class I went to was AP Bio and I chose to do absolutely nothing because the teacher goes really fast; I am not a fast note taker so this is not helpful. I made the decision to just go home and look at the powerpoints on schoology and take my notes from there. After my struggles are over in AP Bio, my class turns into biotech. This is probably my favorite class of the day because I am very interested in the subject. We also get to do interesting labs and watch tv shows like CSI. The rest of my school day was pretty bland. I continued to make my own decisions and not let my classmates influence them. It went well for the most part. After school, however, the bad faith started to kick in
