Taking Creative Studies has been an interesting experience. It was not necessarily my favorite class, but there were specific I-Logs that I did enjoy completing. Some of the I-Logs helped me to learn things about myself that I were not aware of, and some of the I-Logs confirmed some of my habits whether they were good or bad. One of the I-Logs I enjoyed doing was Creative Person: I-Log 32 (Intuition). I enjoyed this I Log because it helped to confirm that since I came to college I have became more understanding. I expressed that I realized it is important to accept someone for whom they are. When you accept someone for who they are, you are less likely to be negatively impacted by their actions. Moreover, this I-Log helped me realized that …show more content…
During my senior year, I developed a bad case of senioritis, and I began to procrastinate. I was also going through personal issues due to the lost of my dad, and I was not always giving one hundred percent. However, when I started EOP I knew that I wanted to be successful, which helped me to take advantage of every opportunity given to me. I made sure to keep up with my work, but the three weeks I spent taking one class did not compare to the five classes I would be taken when the semester started. Completing this I- Log helped me to realize that there will always be people of unforeseen circumstances that can motivate me,but what will motivate me when that no longer does. I came to the conclusion that if I want to be successful I have to motivate myself. I can always say my parents’ death motivate me or seeing my grandmother work hard motivates, but it is always important to consider what will motivate me when that no longer does. In the future I will face challenges because that is just how life works, so I have to keep in mind that I need to be willing to be a little more open and always motivate myself when no one else …show more content…
Being a strong developer and clarifier helps me complete projects efficiently and effectively because I consider everything that will impact my results, and I attempt to figure out exactly what needs to be done. This is helpful because in the future when I start my career I know that I am going to be assigned multiple projects, in which I have to plan and take time to to plan how I want to complete the task. Taking time to understand the directions and plan will help you to complete the task well. You will avoid making mistakes due to
´´ If one advances confident in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ’’ These words were spoken by Henry David Thoreau.Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of one´s life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and achieve all of their dreams. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. It does not matter how related they are to each other in certain áreas they always have a different point of view of what success really is. For some success is measured by social status and wealth
You can’t expect success if you quit with each curveball that life throws at you, rather, what you need to do is to dig deep into your inner self and find the strength to keep moving forward in order to come out on top. That’s the message I try to send to people whenever I attempt something, no matter what challenge comes my way, I will overcome it and I will succeed. My goal is to prove to as many people as I possibly can through my perseverance and hard work that anything that you set your mind to can be achieved, especially if you have the heart and dedication to push
Encouragement plays a significant role in my success. Without encouragement, the achievement won't come true. Juliet Ferking, the author of "A Drive to Achieve the Extraordinary" from This I Believe: Life Lessons, tells her story about how she succeeds at things that normal people don't. No matter what people say, she achieved big things in her life. Her only encouragement are those who actually supported her (Ferking). My connection to Ferking's essay is that without the encouragement that my family and friends are giving me, I wouldn't have the motivation to pursue my degree to have a good career. Even if other people ridicule my choice of degree, I won't succumb to their words.
Professionals state that the primary distinction between someone that is successful along with someone who does not is, those who are generally successful consider precisely what the final result is going to be, however those who are not successful (as well as those who do not genuinely try) concentrate on what they've to endure. Keep in mind just what life is going to be like after you stop, and trust me when I say that your life is destined to be just the way you want it, IF you take the steps you should do to get there.
Throughout our lives we all experience a variety of things that help us define what success means to us. Some people look at success in a materialistic sense, while others take a more spiritual approach. Regardless of the way we view success or the factors that influence that view, we each have our own very unique Personal Philosophy on the subject. Personally, my philosophy is that the implementation of success strategies is key to achieving what one chooses to define as success. I have found that the three most effective success strategies I can use for years to come are being a critical thinker, improving concentration, and being an active listener. All three of these strategies are very practical and relevant to both my educational and professional pursuits, and therefore have proven to be the most effective in regards to my Personal Philosophy of Success.
The college education that I am seeking goes beyond credentials in that it must first and foremost enrich my mind and spirit, and support my belief in continuous learning. My desire is to be challenged and to gain an experience that I can build upon for the future.
A college education has become a necessity in today’s society. Money should not limit the opportunities of a brilliant mind. A child who is currently homeless may have the capability of becoming a world leader or curing cancer. Colleges should be free to attend and funded by the U.S. government because it will help students focus on their studies and encourage them to work harder in school.
...am rarely procrastinating now, and I can feel I have a much higher self-esteem. I am able to work towards desired and intended goals because I now am engaged and motivated to achieve the goals. Instead of completing tasks at the last minute because I had to, I am now completing tasks a few days before due dates with much better efficiency, and a sense of interest. I now complete tasks because I want to, and I gain accomplishment, and a sense of knowledge gain and skill development. I truly feel that I can make goals and be much more motivated to complete them. According to Robbins, College students typically rate growth needs highest on what motivates them (Robbins, pg. 21). Based on my score from the ‘What Motivates Me?’ measure, I also rate growth needs highest. I now feel that with my improved motivation in my goals, I can satisfy important growth needs for mysel
To give my personal philosophy of success I would first have to define “success”. Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. My success philosophy that I plan on implementing from now on is accepting personal responsibility for the good and bad choices I make. There will be time when I need to focus on school and worry less about my free time. If I have a test to take I have to study for that test to get a good grade and continuous good grades will help me pass the course. I can’t depend on anyone else to do my work for me I’m personally responsible for completing my assignments and turning them in on time. When the weekend comes around and all I do is procrastinate by telling myself I’ll study later. The smart thing to do about this situation would be to think wise and use my time-management strategies. I’ll always have time for myself, so sacrificing some free time now is well worth it. This helps me to be a creator and not the victim about things and keeping up with the self-management strategy. The success strategies that I will use will help my learning style, self-management and self-responsibility. Most people believe success is just having lots of money, cars, and women but I believe success is an individual sport and I have to be ready to play because the outcome of my performance is based on the work I put into it.
I do not believe that college should be free at all and it should just stay as it is right now maybe go down a little with the prices but that will be about it. The reasons I believe that people should pay for college are because if its free many people might not take it as seriously as they do right now. Another reason will be because Universities and Colleges need money in order to stay open and completely functioning the only way this can happen is if people pay for College in order for them to exist. I believe that people should pay for college in order for it to run properly and be taken seriously by everyone.

A person needs to achieve certain goals in one's life before you can call them successful. Success is to achieve goals, you have set. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. My professional goals in life are to find a good job that makes me happy, get a good education, find a job that makes enough money for me to support my family, and help people. Goals it is very important for me to receive a good education. Most job fields require a descent education. If I don't have an education I would not be able to function properly at the work place and I would not understand what to do. I believe the need towards being successful motivates individuals every day, whether they’re meeting their goal or not. It still motivates a person to try. This concept applies to my life as well. Much of my motivation is attributed to goals. I think many individuals seek out goals to accomplish and challenge their knowledge, body and life.
This was the lesson I learnt from my father, an unceasing learner and a person who would never give up no matter how many and how difficult the obstacles may be. Having understood from him that success is a moving target, the years of my life with my family have inculcated in me a desire to achieve perfection.
There can be no success without goals or targets. This is because success is relative to a set target and whether we have achieved it, or at least making steady progress towards attaining it. For you to succeed, set a goal, a measurable target that represents what you envision: that is what you want or where you see yourself in future. A goal should be measurable so as to enable you to monitor your progress and help you know whether you are on track or you have gone off.
