Avoid trans fats. Fans of sweets will have to cut back on treats like cookies and cakes.
2. Use unsaturated vegetable oils. Consider using olive oil or canola oil when you cook.
3. Add more vegetable protein to your diet. You’ll want to eat more beans and nuts.
4. Select “good” carbohydrates. Some great options include oatmeal, beans and veggies. Some not so great options are pasta, rice and candy.
5. Make dairy a part of your diet. The best choices are whole milk or full-fat yogurt.
6. Take a daily multivitamin. Make sure it includes folic acid and B vitamins.
7. Boost your iron intake. Fruits and beans are great sources of iron, but avoid red meat.
8. Drink more water, while avoiding soft drinks and limiting your intake of coffee and tea.
9. Keep your body weight in the fertility zone. The fertility zone is a BMI of 20 to 24. However, for some women simply losing 5% to 10% of their body can boost fertility.
