Feed-Tech Advertising

This quote foreshadows that Titus would get bored of technology, he would try not to think about the advertisements, but he will not be able to turn it off because of feed. Almost everything in feed is based on buying and connecting to other feed users. The feed tech tries to persuade you to buy their product.
Getting bannered means constantly streaming pop up ads. These banners keep sending him advertisements, telling him about the music he missed and what is new to listen. These advertisements makes Titus annoying, and he claims that he was not able to enjoy his vacation because of technology.
Lesions are a wound, they are usually placed an area of skin that is broken or infected, lesions are created by the exposure that technology gives.

Titus’s tone is frustrated. Which implies that his not happy with his living condition, his diction choice proves his attitude because he uses words such as bad, tired, sleepy, pale, greasy, and lesions. These words indicate his attitude towards his situation because they all are used to show frustration and annoyance.
According to Violet the purpose of the feed is to make you want things. The companies who are being advertised are benefiting more from the feed because they are making money, having feed in their brain is not healthy. Companies usually convince parents to buy feed for their children to be able to connect to other feed users in future. Feed is similar to “Google Glasses”. You can search anything you want just by looking at it and saying it.
Children are custom-designed in Titus’ society. There is no more sexual reproduction. His mother describes how they ordered him, she says that they designed him however they wanted, her mom made him look like “DelGlacey Murdoch” because she taught he was the most beautiful man in the world. Because there is no more sexual reproduction there would be lack of intimacy, but still Titus’s parents act the same way just like a normal parents does. But unfortunately there would not be romantic relationships since children is custom-designed. In the future I think everyone would have a child no matter what age they are, for example a 70 year old women will marry and have a child just by ordering it which they can’t nowadays a women should be under a certain age to have a child.
This quotation represents that almost everyone believes that their society is perfect, working against the environment is always wrong. Technology is helping society by the air factories, they are cutting down the trees instead they are building air factories. In order to help the society they should not cut down the trees because trees make air, they all believe that air factories give more air than the trees. Factories could stop working anytime because of lack of money, but trees don’t. If they cut all the trees down they would have a lot of negative effects in their society in the future.
After Violet describes her parents’ relationship, Titus tells her how their parents went to Venus and how his parents engaged rings, he describes things more detailed now because he did not have someone who listens to him.

The effect of feed on society is that they could use m-chatting and communicate all the times.
When Titus went to get his upcar he was thinking about Swarp and the Dodge Gryphon, he choose Dodge Gryphon because it had larger back seat he bought it the same day, Violet would not let herself order something she waits then she buys it after a long time. The differences is that Titus bought his upcar at the same day, Violet waits a while until she decides what to buy. By doing this Violet will not have the chance to use feed-tech and have her feed repaired for free.
An intruder pokes around in their feed, because he had nightmares in his dreams. At first when Titus asked who he was, he said that he is a police, then he realizes that it was somebody else controlling him not the police, he is in foreign place, and there was like riots over there, and then a gun pointed at him and Violet wakes him up. The manufacturers and government are trying to help people for free only if they followed some circumstances which violet didn’t so when Violet asks for help from the feed tech, she gets no

results.
This quotation represents that there is nobody that does not have feed and they find funny if they see someone who does not have feed in their brain. Violet’s dad felt bad so he decided to buy a feed for her daughter in order to live in the world. Having feed in her brain is good and bad at the same time. The good thing is that almost everyone has feed in United States and m-chatting is used most of the times, so she could communicate with anyone. The bad thing is that it gets damaged because she got it placed in her brain when she was 7 year old. This brings worry to the people who are getting their feed late, they should get it right after birth or not get it at all.
Titus is like the chained cave people because they both believe that their society is perfect. The cave people do not trust the philosophers the only reality for them is what they see in the stone wall. Only one of them gets out of the cave at first it becomes hard for him to see the sun, then he realizes that the sun represents the truth and knowledge. But Titus chooses to return to the cave and reject the reality. For example when Violet tells him “We both said mean things, dumb things, things we didn’t mean. But there’s always time to change. There’s always time.” Titus says “Unit there’s not” (276) This is similar to one of the four prisoners in the cave when he leaves the cave and discovers the truth he comes back to save the other three prisoners but they reject him because they did not trust the philosophers and they said if he removes their chain they were going to kill him, just like Titus he stays away from Violet and resistance of the feed because of peer pressure
