In Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare introduces readers to forbidden romance between two teenagers whose families are sworn enemies: Romeo and Juliet. However, despite their family rivalry, Romeo and Juliet quickly fall in love. Because of their family rivalry, their dangerous love proves too much for them and their families to handle, thus resulting in them taking their lives to show their love for each other. In the balcony scene by Franco Zeffirelli, Romeo and Juliet declare their love for one another.
